My brain reports a 99% probability that this study is lies.

Michael Savage told a great story about one of his idiot liberal friends last night

The professor parked his car in someone else driveway and the guy, a Russian immigrant, was understandably upset and went way over the top

After about 20 minutes of “You stupid americans” over and over again Savage told his idiot liberal friend to get and his car and leave before it escalated into violence- the moron looked at the screaming Russian and said “I'd like to see you smile”

That kind of comment would have gotten him an ass beating from me instead of the screaming Russian if I was there

Beware the soft science “breakthrough discovery”. It is typical of ‘research’ in the soft sciences in that the premises are grandiose and are based upon half-vast data bases and experimental premises.

Well, if I am to take this study seriously, I should factor in the worst case scenario of its findings. That I am a dumb frightened coward.

My logic tells me the only way to plan against this is to disregard it as crap and move on.

So now they are trying to label us the pessimists and ‘them’ the optimists.......lol......reality evades them.

From the article: “...The results, which will be published next year, back up a study that showed that some people were born with a “Liberal Gene” that makes people more likely to seek out less conventional political views.

The gene, a neurotransmitter in the brain called DRD4, could even be stimulated by the novelty value of radical opinions, claimed the researchers at the University of California...”

- Of course they won’t mention this, but the DRD4 gene (the “Liberal Gene”) is also linked to an increased risk of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (and IIRC, to extremely risky sexual behavior, as well)...

...Amygdalas are responsible for fear and other "primitive" emotions...nice try - it's really more an alert center, letting the individual know that something is on the horizon to which some response might be required - the findings of the study would help explain why liberals seem oblivious to threats like a failing economy and Iranian nuclear reactors......

"Amygdalas are responsible for fear and other "primitive" emotions."
No...
"...anterior cingulate -- the part of the brain responsible for courage and optimism..."
and no.
Geez, maybe these clowns should try Wikipedia.
