I watched the debates and I remember 0bama being interviewed by O’Reily and others and I have seen enough to know that the man is intelligent. I’ve also seen him stutter and stammer and commit innumerable gaffes. Sarah has had her share of gaffes too. So did George Bush (who I believe equals or exceeds the intelligence of anyone on the left). 0bama gets softball questions during interviews and Sarah’s comments are edited in ways that make her look bad.

I’m smart enough to know that the teleprompter creates an impression that he is intelligent and articulate. I doubt if his grades were very good. I think he is a “hustler” and did the minimum to get by. He has been helped and promoted by likeminded people and true believers for the cause of liberalism. He was chosen to carry that flag for good reason. He has charisma and those who critisize him will be dismissed as racist and “mean spirited.”

I absolutely hate his politics. His agenda is poison to our country. But I don’t dismiss him as an ignorant fool and I don’t think you should either.

Sarah is certainly smart but on a measure of intelligence I’m sure she is as intelligent as ZERO. Unlike ZERO I do think she earned her grades and achievements with hard work and determination. I’ve seen each of them in situations when they had to think on their feet and I believe they are fairly closely matched in that regard.

Zero has gone virtually unchallenged by the press. When Sarah is on Fox News she shines because she is in friendly territory and will not likely be asked “gotcha” type questions.

In order to find the right person to lead our country we need to measure CHARACTER. Sarah has it and ZERO doesn’t. She truly is winsome and has many Reaganesque qualities.

Good response. Whatever Obama's actual level of intelligence, I would say that he is handicapped by thinking that he is smarter than he is. They say that he always feels that he is the smartest person in the room. This is a bad character trait and always hurts people, even if they are smart.

Palin, I think, does not harbor these feelings. She has character, she has honesty, she trusts herself -- and she does not expect to have the right answer 100% of the time (that's why advisers are hired).

Thank you for your reasoned reply. I still believe you have fallen to the “appearance” of the reputed Obama intelligence.

A person of intelligence should be able to teach one something. I have learned from the thoughts, insights, and writings of Ronald Reagan and other true thinkers.

I can honestly say I have learned nothing original from the mouth of Barack Obama, and I would like to know what you have learned from this man that you did not know before. In support of your reasoned reply, I have learned nothing new from Sarah Palin either, but at least I trust her and know she loves this country. I am heartened that you realize that too.

I have learned ‘About’ Obama and his anti-colonialial views; but from his own lips I have learned absolutely nothing enlightening, original, or thought provoking.

Nor is he a communicator of ideas. He must dissemble and prevaricate to weasel in his socialist designs. He does not engage in an honest dialogue with the people as Ronald Reagan did and as Palin, in her way via Twitters, does.
At least Palin does her best to remind us of our roots and American pride.

Obama is weak and indecisive and always seems on the defensive in his interviews. He does not strive to convince others that he offers a better way. Those who believe in him do so solely on emotion and faith - not unlike the character Chance in the movie Being There. People see in him what they want to see.
