It is a made up “degree” in order to give a liberal a job at a university. But if he actually STUDIED human development, he would immediately know that children raised by their FAMILY do much better than children raised by babysitters.
Probably some fool who couldn’t even make it as a sociologist, which is pretty bad.
It is nothing. Like urban studies, womyn studies, ethnic studies, black studies, international studies. When I was in academia we called this kind of drech a "j---off major." All you had to do was j---off your major professor and you passed with honors.
