I skipped The Avengers.

Believe it or not, I liked "Hudson Hawk". Awful script, but Bruce Willis and Danny Aiello looked like they were really having fun doing it. Sort of a "Well, this is going to be a stinker, so we might as well have fun while we're here" sort of flick.

The "Swingin' on a Star" scene still makes me grin, just thinking about it.

Ah, another "HUDSON HAWK" fan ... I really liked that movie because I looked at it exactly as you described: everyone having fun with a rotten script. I particularly liked James Coburn playing a take-off on "Our Man Flint".

"Oh, the Pope warned me not to trust the CIA!"

Everyone expected it to be something of a follow-on to Die Hard - exciting adventure and a little bit snarky - which it most certainly was not. I think Hudson Hawk would have done much better rated if people expected it to be goofy strangeness like Airplane or Big Trouble in Little China.

I liked Hudson Hawk so much, that I bought the DVD. I put it on for family members, they were not impressed. It was a fun movie, and that is what films are all about, isn’t it?

Believe it or not, I actually know the writer of Hudson Hawke. Let's just say that the movie that they made is only slightly related to the script he wrote. A lot of the problems can be directly traced to Bruce Willis's ego and everyone rolling over to give him whatever he wanted.

Same here. I took the film for what it was - kooky.
