"...You can not be a good leftist today — even a Jewish leftist — without being an anti-Semite. There was a reason they called it “National Socialism.”

Of all the states on the planet that have a religious identity, only a Jewish state stands as anathema to the World Council of Churches, because a Jewish State can be, according to them, racist, unlike Muslim states, which are, as you know, pluralistic, tolerant, and liberal democracies.

***only a Jewish state stands as anathema to the World Council of Churches***

The World Council of Churches is an out-growth of the U.S.' National Council of Churches, about which the House Committee on Un-American Activities said:
"Thus far, in the leadership of the National Council of Churches, we have found over 100 persons in leadership capacity with either Communist-front records or records of services in Communist causes. The aggregate affiliations of the leadership is in the thousands." --Richard Arens, February 26, 1966 General Counsel, House Committee on Un-American Activities

In June of 2000 the Natl Counc Churches released this press statement [excerpt]:
June 1, 2000, NEW YORK CITY – National Council of Churches General Secretary Robert W. Edgar today welcomed the federal appeals court’s unanimous ruling in favor of six-year-old Elian Gonzalez’s father, Juan Miguel Gonzalez, upholding the father’s right to speak for his son on immigration matters.

In January of 2000 Mark Tooley, Institute on Religion and Democracy, released this statement about the departure of Joan Brown Campbell, long time head of the Natl Counc Churches:
After nearly a decade of leading America's most famous (or infamous) ecumenical coalition, Joan Brown Campbell has finally called it quits at the National Council of Churches. But she is not leaving without a splash. Although her term as secretary general ended December 31, 1999, Campbell has since immersed herself in a new round of publicity.

Evidently acknowledging Campbell's strong ties with Fidel Castro, her successor appointed her to spearhead the NCC campaign to return little Elian Gonzalez to communist Cuba...

This may be slightly off the point, but it explains how the Marxist left in the world has been trying to co-opt the Christian faith for decades... e.g. Jeremiah Wright.

I have a lot of similar material in my files.
