Palin barely tops muddled national GOP presidential picture
public policy polling ^ | December 8, 2010 | techno

Posted on 12/08/2010 4:43:50 AM PST by techno

Overall:

Palin 21% Gingrich 19% Romney 18% Huckabee 16%

Conservatives:

Palin 24% Gingrich 23% Romney 15% Huckabee 14%

Men:

Palin 23% Gingrich 23% Romney 16% Huckabee 11%

46-65 age category:

Palin 21% Romney 18% Gingrich 17% Huckabee 14%

65+ age category:

Palin 23% Romney 19% Gingrich 17% Huckabee 17%

This is the first time that Palin has led in any national PPP poll of GOP contenders and among these categories.

Could this be a preview of coming attractions? Yes, there is no frontrunner right now as Karl Rove suggests. But could Palin become a clear frontrunner by the end of the first quarter in 2011 if she can parlay these numbers into further support?

I find it interesting that folks think that PPP is a pro-Romney poll and also a pro-Palin poll. Actually if you study PPP over the last 18 months it has been really a pro-Huckabee poll.

And this is why it is so striking and ironic that PPP shows Huckabee’s national support plummeting especially among conservatives.

I love Sarah, but we need to trot out the BEST candidate to beat the communist muslim Kenyan, and I’m not convinced she can win. I DO believe we are ready for a female Pres, and if so, Michele Bachmann is a better choice IMO. Wonderfully conservative, but smarter and more articulate than SP.

If Sarah is nominated, she has my vote for sure.

omg, I didn’t know about that video. Its worst than I thought

I was referring to another video where he gave a speech on how gop could take back congress and he talked about some ideas. One of them being that we need to pick rino in blue states to get them elected

I find it very interesting that Sarah is gaining support among women.

Well I certainly am with you on having a primary battle that weeds out the weak, yes. Got a feeling MB isn’t running though.

Michele Bachmann has already announced she has no interest in running for POTUS in 2012. And for your own info here are the other folks who have also told the world they are NOT running:

1) Jeb Bush
2) Chris Christie
3) Scott Brown
4) Paul Ryan
5) Jim Demint
6) Rick Santorum (if Palin runs)
7) John Thune (probably if Palin runs)
8) Mitch Daniels (would only accept a draft)
9) Bobby Jindal
10)Rick Perry
11) John Kasich
12) Michael Bloomberg
13) General Petraeus
14) John McCain

It’s called the “mama grizzly phenomenon”.

The most under-reported and most telling exit poll stat of the 2010 midterms:

Overall Female vote:

GOP 49%

DEMS 48%

This is the first time in history (since stats started being kept in 1982) that the GOP has led the Dems in any election.

Why do you think the Left fears Palin?

And don’t think for a minute this info is being lost on our enemies on the Left. They know that if Palin gets the nomination and females continue to vote in this manner that Obama will be wiped out like the Jets lost to the Patriots this past Monday.

I’d love to see Palin on the ticket, but I’m for Mike Pence at the top. That would be a really great duo.

PPP is a demonRAT group of pollsters and every time I see their polls I want to see the details.

First of all, since no one has declared their position, this is simply a circle jerk, posted to get a rise out of folks 2 years before the general election.

Absolutely meaningless, so why did I waste my time responding?

It's 17 degrees and snowing, I've already got two deer in the freezer, and I'm looking for a way to avoid getting the snow blower out for the driveway.

I'll just have another coffee and ramble on.

when the only other two choices are the huckster and mr healthcare himself?

lol

I am surprised Palin and Gingrich are not both 10 points higher.

I really hope Gingrich and the Huck don’t run.

Viewer beware. BAROFMATIC.

I'm not sure if I would use an old BARFOMATIC ic for a video with both Pelosi and Newt. I mean just looking at either of those two could overwhelm a BARFOMATIC, throw in a global warming pitch and you are just asking for trouble. You need to upgrade to the new Barf-a-tron or the Pukemaster 9000. I found that the Pukemaster 9000 could even handle the industrial chunky hurl induced by a Whoopi Goldberg/Bill O'Riley interview. :)

Glad you could join us. We already discussed this poll in multiple threads when it came out 8 days ago.

Oh wait -- you knew that -- because you POSTED A THREAD ABOUT THIS EXACT SAME POLL 8 DAYS AGO.

Sarah Palin In the Lead...

This was another, earlier thread on the subject:

PALIN leads primaries...
