Not hardly.
Most presidents have spent more than we brought in at one time or another.
The last time there was a fiscal year in which the national debt decreased was during the Eisenhower administration.

It may already be too late to reverse things...
Nothing would do more to bring about the end of Zeros’ presidency then sky rocketing energy prices. It would be Jimmy Carter redux. Anybody on the right could beat him at that point.
The rats still hold the Senate until at least 2012. There will be no impeachment trial held in this current Senate.
Drill here, drill now!
I like Sarah.
And what, in this enlightened and information-rich age will happen to those deputies, marshalls, constables, etc., and their homes, and their autos?
I would love to see the next GOP presidential candidate run on a cheap energy platform, one that will ensure cheaper fuel from ground to pump, also acknowledging a clear path to strengthen the dollar, which is probably the single most important factor in energy prices.
1. Strengthen the dollar
2. Reign in and/or eliminate the EPA along with it’s silly boutique fuel blend mandates.
3. Reform the regulatory system to where it’s cheaper to get oil domestically than from Canada or Mexico and certainly the mid-east.
4. If possible, reform regulations to where America gets maximum benefit from using our own oil.
I would love to see China get throttled by high oil prices while we enjoy the world’s lowest oil and gas prices within the US, the rest of the world can eat the greeny policies and suffer from their stupidity.
You must be too young to remember the 70’s. We behaved amazingly sane during the gas crisis.
People have less restraint and wisdom than was evident during the 70s.
The budget cross hairs should line up on EPA and a bunch of other programs and agencies.
Remember? In the midst of all this political posturing by dumbo, blinky and ichabod reid we still don’t have a budget.
Interesting date!
Wanna prevent catastrophic “climate change”? The best thing that that these frauds could do for the environment is to pick up trash along the higways while wearing their leg irons and orange jump suits. Bob
Chaos is the goal, then the govt can step in to “fix it”. This is what the closing of the pincers feel like after the “ soft revolution” is accomplished.
Gas prices are approaching $3 per gallon and may go considerably higher. $100 a barrel oil is seen as likely. Obama has choked off some oil production in the Gulf and made us more dependent on foreign oil. The economy is in tatters. Unemployment is at 9.8%. Barack Obama has brought this country to its knees... On April 19 EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson ruled that carbon dioxide, a gas vital to the growth of green plants, is a pollutant... signed a so-called endangerment finding, stating that carbon dioxide and five other products of fossil fuel combustion are harmful to both the environment and to human health. As a result, the EPA could begin regulating automotive CO2 emissions as soon as June. The ruling also gives the EPA broad power to regulate greenhouse-gas emissions from industry and electric power utilities for the first time... The rule would cost nearly $3 billion a year, costs that are likely to be passed along to consumers... The $3 billion cost is most likely a gross underestimate. When did the government ever get a fiscal projection right? That cost is only the beginning.
Global Warming on Free Republic
Pitchforks, tar, feathers.
You betcha
All we need to look at is the percentage of the oil coming from the middle east to see that. It is going to be an in your face moment.
