True, but with all the other grumblings going on, the best thing that could happen for us is to have a scorched-earth Dem primary in 2012, to fracture the party and present a candidate so far left even the mushy moderates and Dems would recoil in horror at the thought of voting for them (Feingold ring a bell?)

What we need is another primary like 1980, where Fat Ted nearly beat Jimmuh in the primaries to really divide the 'Rats.
