Scratch Idaho. We have mosquitoes the size of turkeys, bears and wolves eating school children every day, and Larry Craig still has the highest name recognition of any politician in the state. It is terrible here. Trust me, tough it out in Califa, you will be fine.

If I see one more Native Californian toy license plate in the rear window of an Idaho registered BMW or M-B, I may erupt with open range rage and go RFD postal.

Having family roots in SW Idaho I agree with your assessment about CA imports and the “mosquitoes”. I used to love Idaho. Boise used to be a nice little city as was much of Idaho. Now it is pure suburban yuppie sprawl from west of Caldwell to east of Boise. Canyon County Commissioner Vasquez was a good guy.

My home is in the Pocatello area. Out of necessity, I’m
back in San Diego working on a contract that
requires being physically present. There’s lots of
urban outdoorsmen enjoying the mild weather
and scraping by. My company work location is
morphing into a ghost town. I wouldn’t be
surprised to hear a need to move to a different
location in the near future.

Californians are in the process of wrecking Colorado. Well, Californians and Mexicans. Why do you think they’ll leave Idaho unspoiled?

It comes with the territory: move someplace pretty, wreck it, and move on to the next place.

I couldn't agree with you more. If people are looking to leave distressed places, they should probably avoid Idaho. We don't like out-of-staters (especially those from “Cali”) coming up here and bringing their stuff with them.

Idaho (especially the panhandle) has snow, the roads freeze, and wolves, bears, and other dangerous animals, lurk in the woods. Sporting goods stores sell real guns, hunting/fishing stuff and outdoor equipment, not tennis & jogging outfits. We all drive gas- guzzling pickups, and use our gun racks for their intended purpose.

People should find another state. We like Idaho just like it is
