We are contemplating a move to Texas as well. i grew up in Ventura county, and have lived in San Diego county the past 16 years, but i think this last election sealed the deal. We have 11 acres in East Texas, though as we both work for the federal government, I suspect we’ll probably end up near San Antonio.

Need a 50-something year-old ranch hand? I just need high-speed Internet to keep my night job as a computer consultant (that is why I can move to Dallas with no problem, my job doesn’t care where my home is).

When Californians move to Texas, they make both states more liberal.

Texas Hill Country !

The landscape reminds me of Ronald Reagans ranch near Santa Barbara.
