sorry I have a sticky “w” WAS not interested.
I think one reality that all of us have to deal with is that presidents are unfortunately not elected on experience. Do we think if Obama had been old and ugly that hed been elected?
Right now, we have no candidates in the pool that attract the independent like we need them to. What I like about Rubio is that hes young, got the good-looking family, has been somewhat of a renegade and can appeal to a large block of independent and Latino voters.
While I may love DeMint and Sarah, Im fully aware that people will vote on Rubio for the reasons I posted above. We all need to consider this.

Rick Perry. Hes definitely interested in running.”
I would hope not. Strongly supported him as Governor over White because we had no choice but IMO that is as far as he should go.
Seriously needs “None of the Above.”
“I thought Romney was a democrat.”
Mitt or the old man? Mitt is a Democrat.
His pa was Nixon’s Secretary of HUD.
I actually went to George Romney’s wiki posting. What a colorful and semi-weird life. The family moved to Mexico because Mormon multiple wives. Chased out of Mexico around 1913. They were poor, made money, became poor again and made money again. It is a shame that Mitt is such a DIABLO/RINO.
“I just heard Rick Perry with his own lips say he as not in the least interested in running for president.”
He is not too interested in protecting the border either.
His family are all TX Democrats like some of the stupid sh*theads Bush had in his cabinet.
I think TX RINOs are about one degree of separation from Democrats - Ditto Florida RINOs and AZ SCUM like MCCain. .
I am for Jim DeMint. I posted this on another thread:
It was back during the big flap down in Guatamala when I first took notice of Jim DeMint. Newly elected Obama sided with the Communist regime, DeMint went down there on the behalf of the other side. He practically stood alone doing what he did. I thought to myself, now here is someone rare, is he for real?
I have watched him closely ever since. I am glad to report this man is the real deal!
A majority is nice to have, but it doesnt always take a majority. A few good men like DeMint with real courage will eventually prevail. DeMint has proved that to be true.
Hats off to truly great American.
Either Palin or DeMint would be fine as the GOP candidate.
Haley Barbour has an impressive resume, but he is lacking in physical vitality. He looks much older than either Bob Dole in 1996 or Fred Thompson in 2008.
a bit premature,
but soon enough, Rubio is young and has lots to learn 1st.
NO NO NO MITT ROMNEY....HE couldn’t win the last time around and he definately can’t win now not after what his “aides” did to Sarah Palin during the last campaign-
ALLEN WEST/MARKO RUBIO
Allen West seems like the real deal but he just won his first elective office. I'd like to see him get some votes on the record before he starts any campaign for POTUS.
Rubio might have eligibility issues if his parents were not citizens at the time of his birth in Florida. There is also his position on amnesty for criminal illegal aliens. If Rubio starts hanging out with that Lindsey Grahamn person.........watch out!
As far as Texas democrats are concerned it hasn’t been too many decades when the vast majority of Texans were democrats. I was born in 1940 and all of my young life I knew my father was very involved in politics. I did not know until much later that he was a staunch conservative. Most of his friends were Texas democrats and they had some wild discussions.
I certainly don’t hold it against Perry that his family were democrats or that he used to be. That’s just the way it was in Texas and the entire south.
