I think this is silly. Romney is not a perfect candidate, but he is more conservative than McCain and certainly the Huckster.

Romney is more left than both of them, and more incompetent.

Romney has run to the left of Ted Kennedy, Romney left the GOP in protest against President Reagan's conservatism, Romney left the Massachusetts Governor office with 34% approval ratings, he lost his desired chance to be reelected, and a Democrat replaced him.

Romney is on video giving the most passionate, and personal endorsement of abortion, of anyone that I am aware of, Romney was to the left of Ted Kennedy in his support of the homosexual agenda.

Well, if this thread holds true to the norm on the forum these days, the RomneyBots will be along shortly.

“I’m a Conservative..., okay..., well, I play one on TV.”

By far, the most dangerous man in America is George Soros.

Only because he is unopposed. Therein lies the crux of the problem: Liberalism waxes while Conservatism wanes.

If Conservative principles (those principles of all three factions of Conservatism together) are not served, there is created a situation wherein opposition to Liberalism cannot be effectively formed.

Therefore, the danger is in supporting those who would claim conservatism without upholding those principles.

The enemy within the gate is more dangerous than the enemy in the field.

“..why he’s not stoppable...”

If history teaches us ANYTHING, it’s that ANYBODY is “stoppable”.

“...Why we allow a non-American to screw with our economy and our elections without repercussion is beyond me...”

Not “we”...it’s not Americans; it’s Liberal/socialist/progressive/communist democrats (redundancy alert).

There IS a difference. THEY are NOT us. They are NOT our countrymen. THEY support and want everything that we left behind us. THEY support and want everything that we spent the last 60 years training our military to defeat and destroy.

It’s a civil war, no matter what/which way we try to look at it; it just happens to be a cold war at the moment.

The SOONER our side wakes up and realizes this fact, the sooner we can fight to WIN - instead of just “to not lose”.

The FIRST PRIORITY we need to impress (or force) on the GOP is CLOSED PRIMARIES.

If the Tea Party can force that issue, we have a chance of avoiding having another RINO.

No more RINOs. Not now, not ever.

Points well taken.

The enemy within the gate is more dangerous than the enemy in the field.

Absolutely. Our "unlimited" freedoms are defined as total freedom for liberals, Moslems, communists and the media, ONLY.

American patriots, Conservatives, Military and business have restricted freedoms and whatever freedoms they "may" have are bestowed on them by their enemies' silence, lack of protest and vilification.

Soros and other enemies can do what they please and enjoy the freedoms that they erode for the rest of us. This shouldn't be allowed. It wouldn't have been allowed in any other country.

Through "free" elections, if "allowed," we may be able to reverse communism. The best way is to outlaw it.

We just got open primaries in California. The RP in the state was silent during the run-up, didn’t really give a damn one way or the other. That’s one more reason I can add to why I think the Republican party is a party of pretenders.

“Oh man, we’re such Conservatives.” Then election time comes around and we’re running lefties across the board. “Don’t pay any attention to what I’ve actually done. I’m voicing general support for everything you stand for. It doesn’t matter that I just don’t operate that way... you’re getting sleepy, when I snap my fingers you’ll go attack every Conservative that won’t sell out on F.R. Call them Democrat stooges, if they won’t support my leftist activity.”
