A former business partner of convicted influence-peddler Antoin “Tony” Rezko was sentenced to three years of probation Tuesday for his role in a bank fraud scheme over the sale of Rezko’s pizza restaurants.
Abdelhamid “Al” Chaib had pleaded guilty to a single count of obstructing the Internal Revenue Service for his role in securing a $2.6 million loan from GE Capital Corp. to finance his bogus purchase of Rezko’s string of Papa John’s pizza franchises. The loan was in fact a scheme to obtain loan money to prop up Rezko’s businesses while Chaib would have no meaningful ownership of the pizzerias.

Feds Say Rezko Wanted to Help

In a filing Thursday, federal prosecutors said longtime fundraiser Tony Rezko came to them in July of 2008, offering to cooperate in their investigation of former governor Rod Blagojevich.

Rezko had previously written a letter to his own trial judge, Amy St. Eve, accusing the government of pressuring him to lie about Blagojevich and others. But in Thursday’s filing, prosecutors state that Rezko had in fact recanted that letter, “and admitted it was false when written in an attempt to secure bond during his trial.”
The motion filed by prosecutors goes on to say that Rezko offered damning evidence against his longtime friend. Prosecutor Reid Schar declared that “on the very first day Rezko began being interviewed by the government,
Rezko incriminated the defendant and himself in far reaching corruption schemes.”
Rezko was never called as a witness during the first Blagojevich trial. His attorney, Joe Duffy, said he is still willing to testify and would be a valuable witness for the government.

The whole situation with the press, and the “leaks” is indeed quite bizarre. Insider wants us to think his life is in danger. Do you think it is? Its a bit of a laugh, Its so scripted, the drama.
What many do not realize is that Obama and his staff are truely liberal fascists. They are Alinsky-ites. They play the press like fiddles, and then they have the insider playing us like a fiddle. Is there real information in the middle of it all? Yes there is at first, but as the Obama presidency contnues to flail and sour, the need for disinfomation will arise, and it will come from INSIDER.

My humble opinion is that Obama is hardly worthy of such baited attention, and we need to focus on dismantling him and his movement, all the rest is just the Hollywood squeeling and whining of fascist pigs on their way to the slaughter house as far as I am concerned.
What this is about is all over the USA, Republicans and Tea Partiers are running ads linking their Rat opponent with Queen Nancy. Many ads have her pic prominently in the script or feature a morphing of her with the Rat candidate. The Rats realize that even people who might otherwise vote for them understand that a vote for ANY Rat is a vote, presumably, for Nancy Pelosi -- and she is the one politician more blamed for Obamacare than Obama himself.
Their only way out is to tell their constitutents that it is "safe" to vote for a Rat because the Rats will put Nancy out to pasture anyway.
And now, apparently, the White House is fully aligned with that tact, either because it has its own reasons for animosity against the Queen or because it truly feels this gnaw-off-your-own-right-hand tactic is the only hope, however slim, for political survival.
Pelosi was a terrifically powerful politician. No one would have dared cross her unless they got some assurance from somewhere more powerful that they could cut Pelosi loose with impunity.
Pelosi is so reviled, she got her own FIRE PELOSI TEA PARTY in Miami.
If Hillary had been more patient and waited to run for the Senate seat in her home state of Illinois in 2004 as many suggested instead of rushing to be the Senator from New York in 2000, we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. Hillary Clinton would now be President, and no one would recognize the name ‘Barack Obama’.

Yes, Bubba’s riding in right at the height of the Tea Party opposition to Obamacare, all to say “you’ve got to pass this thing or you’ll REALLY be punished by the voters,” was likely a huge set-up for Obama failure, now and in 2012.
And, of course, if it happened that Bubba was right and the voters had grown to love Obamacare, then he’d just take credit for that.
But Bill and Hillary knew very well how Hillarycare had kicked their butts and they were most likely hoping for a worse arse-kicking for Barry Obama.
