For Christine’s part, she has released a new ad, building on the “I’m you” theme. In her new ad, Christine starts to build her case, and talk policy. She’s slowly rolling these out, and comes off quite nice. Not the person portrayed by the corrupt media. This is smart, and opinion changing.

Look for the advertising to pick up, and the message to grow as we get closer to the scheduled debates between Christine and Coons.

Sarah Palin has also said she will be going to Delaware to help rally supporters in the final days of the campaign. This will only serve to further enthusiasm for an already fired up electorate for Christine.

If you remember, in the primary, Republican voter turnout was roughly three times that of the dems, and more than twice the normal turnout for an average non-presidential year primary. Nationwide there is a huge enthusiasm gap between Republican and Marxist-democrat voters.

Very tough to poll that 'enthusiasm gap'...that is why many expect some 'surprises' the evening of November 2.

I also thought that way, until one Freeper pointed out the other possibility: the Dhims send their biggest names to DE not specifically to help Coons, but to keep DE Senate race in national highlight. They consider COD as a poster girl of what’s wrong with the Tea-Party backed Republicans, and by reminding people about the race constantly, it which might help their candidates in other races.

Noting the terrible unemployment picture and the failed economy which POTUS Obama and his “traitor” Democrat Party aided and abetted, coupled with the fact that everything POTUS Obama has touched or put forward has diminished the United State of America, any voter in Delaware that votes for Mr. Coons is voting to continue the destruction of our great nation. The fact is, the American people, all of them, need to totally destroy the entire Democrat party on election Day, November 2, 2010. Remember In November!!! Delaware voters, vote for Christine O’Donnell!!! There is no other choice for Delaware, for America, for Freedom, for our children, grandchildren and children yet to come.

internal polling in the Coons camp obviously paints a very different picture.

I wonder what picture internal polling for O’Donnell is painting? If it is so good why not release the info to build on the momentum? Leaners like to jump on the winners bandwagon I’d think.

Can I say this?

I love Christine O’Donnell. I think she’s a good gal and a good candidate and I want her to WIN.

That said, my complaint with her ads (and btw, I’m not sure how to “fix” it) is she seems too YOUNG to be a Senator. Yes, I know she is 40+ years old, but she appears so youthful, it’s not hard for me to imagine a voter would find it hard to pull the lever for her. Btw, I wish I could have whatever she is taking. LOL

But in a case like this, looking young is not an advantage (nor is looking like Mike Castle, btw. LOL). Honest to God, she looks about 27 in her commercials. She needs to take a page out of Jennifer Granholm’s campaign (another pretty, young looking candiate, although a leftwing nut). When she ran for Gov. of Michigan, her campaign ads were in black and white, and she WORE HER GLASSES. Because of it, those ads gave her a more serious gravitas, so the silly voters of MI elected her.

I hope Christine’s next round of commercials shows her in her glasses, consulting with others who have endorsed her, whether Palin, Newt, Huckabee, or veterans or whatever...looking business-like and mature (older). Also, if she hasn’t done so (and I imagine she has) she should tell the voters: “I’m running for a seat that will expire. If I don’t do what I promise that I will, you should vote me out. I am a placeholder. When I have not made the voters of Delaware proud, you should vote me out of office.”

I have my fingers and toes crossed for her.

Gee, I don't know, it's going to be hard working against the honesty of Obama, the intelligence of Biden, and the wise dignity of Franken...

What insurmountable challenges await? Fighting against the beauty of Michelle? The sexual allure of Pelosi? The virile manliness of Reid? The patriotism of Schumer?

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

A wise Freeper, now dead, used to say that if you wanted to know how the election was going, ignore public polls and watch where the politicians went and where they spent money. It is certain that Obama & Biden wouldn’t spend time in Delaware unless it was in play.

Interesting- 3 ‘former’ CCDC members are on Coons’ staff; including one behind the phony ‘Tea party’ candidate in NJ:
http://www.delawareonline.com/article/20101008/NEWS/101008010
“...To give Adler an edge, Ayscue— a paid CCDC consultant — had recruited a then-unidentified man to run as a third-party candidate.
That candidate would act as a conservative spoiler to confuse voters and pull votes from Adler’s eventual Republican challenger. But first he had to get on the ballot. With the filing deadline just weeks away, CCDC needed volunteers to hit the streets and collect signatures — fast...

One volunteer’s identity is already known: Marshall Spevak, an Adler campaign staffer in 2008, helped collect signatures to get DeStefano on the ballot.

...Spevak is now a press aide for Delaware Senate candidate Chris Coons, who is running against Republican Christine O’Donnell. Spevak is one of at least three former CCDC members who are working on that campaign.”
..
.
Coons was sued in 2005 for using his position to harass, defame and intimidate an ‘enemy’.

“...falsely accusing [attorney Thomas S. Neuberger] of...violating federal court orders, unethical behavior and other wrongdoing...disclosing to the Delaware media that plaintiff was dying of a brain tumor and that it was causing him to act erratically. Plaintiff also asserts that the Individual Defendants discussed his private medical information with numerous other individuals and during county government meetings”
http://www.ded.uscourts.gov/TNO/Opinions/Jul2008/05-916.pdf

Coons got off under political immunity but people don’t like abusive, hateful officials.
