Veteran election analyst Charlie Cook has backed away from his earlier prediction that control of the Senate was in play in this election. In light of Tuesdays Delaware Republican primary, Cook says the odds now overwhelmingly favor the Democrats retaining their Senate majority:

“Wizards of smart. Scott Brown never could win against Coakley. Rubio couldnt beat Crist. Rubio couldnt win with Crist as an independent.
Yada Yada.”

To the degree we listen to the ‘experts’ the worse off we are.
The last election, that gave us obummer, had about 38% turnout according to Glen Beck. 38% of Americans could be assed enough to go vote. We have what we deserve. Hopefully the turnout might increase in November.
If Norm Coleman had acted even slightly Conservative instead acting like the typical ankle grabbing panty-waisted Rino he was, There never would have been a recount.
The Clown Franken has been pretty quiet ever since the news came out that he won by illegal votes from Felons.
Reagan got lots done without controlling the Congress, it can be done if the will of the voters is made clear enough by the results. Problem has been since 1994 voters keep sending mix signals s every other election.
“They GOP Establishment mouthpieces face either ostracism from the Conservative movement as traitors or ostracism from the Conservative movement as irrelevant, non-credible cretins.”
Well put. Sounds like a GREAT result to those of us that are interested in utterly REFORMING the GOP!
“I dunno...considering that Feingold is down in the latest poll, Manchin (D) is falling in WV, and Fiorina is on Boxers heels, even without DE I think its possible.”
We need Dino to punch out Patty tennis shoes also. I hope his campaign energizes more SOON.
“Forget your old polls, there is a mega change undergoing America. The Castles and Coons of the establishment are being throw out by the people. Charlie, you’re next.”
LOL - I love it.
“Anyone who raises more than 1 million $ in two days can win.”
Now up to $1.668M over less than 3 days.

But hear me on this: the closer you get to 60, the harder it will be to get that last RINO, because they will know that everything hinges on their vote. So it will in the short-term make Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins and Grahamnesty the most important people in the Senate.
LOL! I’ll have to contribute to make it more.
“She is down 5.5, as her poll numbers move up, Coons move downwards, she doesnt need to make up all 11 pts.”
Plus the MoE on the Ras poll is 4% - at the positive end of that it means that she’s only -3, or as you are suggesting, CO would only need to eat 1.5% into Coons weak support to tie him.
I think it’s closer to than 11!
Now she’s at $1.7M+!!

At some point, this nation will truly sicken of those people, and the RATs being the logjam to true Conservative reform.
Depends, can O’Donnell counter the Dhimmi Cash advantage?
I’d love to know name recognition numbers in DE.
Agree, but add Nevada to that, I am watching that one closely also.
You forget, if you own the judiciary committee, you can bottle up a nominee forever.
That’s absolutely true. But your key word is “own.” Owning does not include having to put two RINOS on there. I just finished reading a book-—forget which-—about the Bush years in which the Republicans controlled the committee dealing with terrorism, but the Dems won every single vote.
That's the problem, no one hold the pollster's feet to the fire if they're blatantly wrong, I mean wrong to the extent that they're trying to throw the race in their preferred direction.
Look at Zogby's 'Kerry Wins' exit polling. Still doing big business 6 years later.
There literally a thousand books decontructing the MSM, and none deconstructing pollsters like Zogby, Cook and Sabato. RCP had a few pieces in their early days, and then quit challenging others when the site went mainstream. We need a McIntyre & McKitrick.
If Harry Reid still has his hands on the speaker's gavel after the election you damn well are gonna remember, because I for one am not going to let you forget it. Sabe?
The 'people's choice' in Delaware will be the candidate who gets the most votes in November. Castle has no obligation to endorse an opponent who personally smeared him and Karl Rove is a private citizen who is entitled to his own opinion.
