I can’t believe how childish you all are. Technically, he is correct..It doesn’t matter how many conservative people run IF WE DON’T WIN. We took a sure thing and we put it in a position we will probably lose. All Krauthammer is doing is pointing out the obvious...Don’t shoot the messenger. As much as I hope she wins...my gut is telling me we just gave up any chance of getting the Senate back. And please don’t tell me it doesn’t matter if it has a few RINO’s...it does and you’re being very disingenuous to say it doesn’t.
Agreed. The days of urbane disquisitions over nuances are long gone. "Firing Line" was a civil and congenial Kabuki dance which was choreographed to fit Bill Buckley's verbal facility but seldom if ever yielded anything substantive.
And, I remember the day when murderer Bobby Seale ate Buckley's lunch live and on the air--urbanity has its limits when it meets a polished sociopath.
So too do the pomposities of Krauthammer.
Christine O'Donnell was good enough for the Delaware GOP to run against Biden in ‘08, so all the hand-wringing and smears that have come her way during this primary ring false and inflammatory.
William Roth was the last Republican from Delaware to sit in the US Senate and he was defeated in 2000, by Carper.
Now, all of a sudden in 2010, Biden’s seat is of utmost importance.
Christine O'Donnell can win this seat, and it would be most helpful if the talking heads would sit down, shut-up and get out of the way since they're unable to comprehend that Mike Castle could have run for the US Senate years ago.
I might add, that I have written to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie asking him to endorse her, given that Mike Castle and his team are bitter, sore losers, too petulant and childish to even “act” like gentlemen.
Given that Governor Christie endorsed Mike Castle, perhaps if he endorses Christine O'Donnell, a lot of the nonsense will be put to rest.

I take a different view and have been for years regarding the GOP. A few more conservative candidate victories and the party establishment will have to take the base seriously.
Chess is played more than one move ahead at a time. These recent conservative victories are the first move. It will be up to the conservative movement to make sure the rest of their moves are as effective and keep up the game.
What some call "winning" has been nothing more than the GOP establishment looking a whole lot like Democrats. The mantra of "you are going to cost the party the election" does not wash with me.
Here’s the problem with your argument, if we have liberal Republicans instead of Marxist Democrats all we’re doing is forestalling the inevitable. If we don’t run Conservatives we’ll never have Conservatives in government no matter what their party. It’s their philosophy and character that counts, not their party affiliation.
And all that thinking has gotten us where we are. Well..we’re about to see how much change people really want, won’t we? If we lose...it’s the end...
I agree with you about the need to win BUT, the voters have spoken and it does no good for Rove, Krauthammer, Bill O’Reilly to come out and keep attacking after the primary is over - Do they thnk that O’Donnell will quit the race because of their attacks?
And Krauthammer calling Palin & DeMint irresponsible with their endorsements - what good can come of that ?

There is really no doubt in my mind that she will win. The game has changed and the establishment hasn’t figured it out yet. We will see who ends up looking childish in the end.
But Krauthammer was right when he said that Palin should go and help her get elected now...she's going to need a lot of help, but it's a strange, strange year...an exciting time to be involved in politics for sure.
First off, Dale..they are not MY PEOPLE...stop being so snarky. My point is that Krauthammer was doing his job and it does nobody any good to shoot the messenger. It’s never better to have Dems in charge and if the last two years haven’t taught you that, then you’re either blind or dumb.

I’m sure Palin will go out and help - what we need from people like Krauthammer and Rover is to STFU and stop aiding and abetting the enemy. Kraut says that he hopes the Republicans win, he can go after Coons and the Dems rather than going after O’Donnell. He sat there sniffing and looking down his nose at everyone who didn’t agree with him on BOR’s show. Really, it’s time to lead, follow or get out of the way and he needs to at the very least get out of the way.
