You continue to repeat libertarian babble. You are free to to repeat it, but it goes to ones intellect.I have never seen you at any of my Mensa nor Intertel meetings.
Mensa? LOL! I won’t belong to any organization that would have me as a member. By the way, the next time you are your buddies crawl out of you mother’s basements and get together, you may want to review the use of apostrophes.
Would you care to have a go at the question I posted to you in #42??
“But would you agree with me that to feign a belief in a supernatural God in order to gain acceptance by that society would not only be dishonest, but insulting to God?”
ML/NJ
Droll and vacuous.Again; more babbling of an adolescent twit.
But would you agree with me that to feign a belief in a supernatural God in order to gain acceptance by that society would not only be dishonest, but insulting to God?
I do not agree with the framing of your question.
I guess we can add semicolon to the list of things for review. You may want to take a look at the definition of the word “droll”, as well.
Of what value is it to God or man for us to pretend to believe? For if there is no value in it, there is no reason for us not to say that we are nonbelievers.
a buffoon.noun
a ridiculous but amusing person; a clown
Can we agree that the Founders were no Gods, but men and God did not spell the Constitution to them?
The founders gathered together to find the principles on which they agreed in order to form a better union.
Toady as it was then people in America are debating the principles we agree on in order to make our country a better place.
All I am asking is civility. Mr. Lapin has his own view in the debate, I have mine.
He does give each of us the liberty to reject Him, A tornado going through a junkyard does not create a 747.I am truly sorry that you can not see
the beauty and design of the creator of the universe.
however it is at our own peril.
parasite |ˈparəˌsīt|Do you truly disagree with the Rabbi's apt use
noun
an organism that lives in or on another organism
(its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the host's expense.
of the English language ?Would you prefer de-construction and political correctness ?
Your point?
I don’t understand how am I living in or on another organism (host) and benefit by deriving nutrients at the host’s expense. Explain it to me.
You stated, "We all must live by the dictates of God given to us in the Ten Commandments". As I explained, this is not the case at the present time in the United States.
Lapin obviously means this in the Tocqueville sense: That what made America prosperous was that its Christian character helped ensure trust between businessmen.
Lapin believes the atheists are parasites living off America of the faithful.
All I want to know is how many people of faith share this belief. Is it a mainstream belief?
“But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.”
-Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782
Exactly. The problem with the Rabbi Lapin’s view of the atheists is that if they are parasites they somehow take something from somebody.
This is why the statement is disturbing.
What exactly are the atheist taking from whom? I don’t understand his view.
Knowing Daniel Lapin, I would have to hear the original story. He is a godly man, well informed, knowledgeable of today’s culture.
I am not a pollster, so I have no idea. My point is that Lapin was restating, in an inverse and highly provocative way, one of the main themes of Democracy in America.
