Efforts to get the United States Supreme Court to demand that Barack Obama provide unassailable proof of American citizenship continue without results.
Just for a moment, imagine that the Court does its job and it turns out that Obama can’t come up with a legitimate birth certificate showing that he was indeed born on U.S. soil in what was then the territory of Hawaii, and the Court declares that he is therefore ineligible to serve as the nation’s chief executive.
Should that be the case nothing that he has done, no appointments that he has made nor executive orders he issued would be valid. And under the provisions of the Constitution, John McCain would be declared the legitimate President of the United States and Sarah Palin the Vice President starting with Inauguration Day, 2009.
All acts of Congress since January 2009 and signed by Obama would be null and void. No Obamacare, no federal tax laws, and none of his cabinet or sub-cabinet appointments would be valid.
And there would be blood in the streets as the labor union and the rest of the thuggery that supports him would erupt in violence. And God knows where we’d end up.
The prospect of the nation enduring another two and a half years of this incredibly unqualified man is unpleasant, but perhaps the consequences of driving him from the office he now holds could prove disastrous.
The nation has endured many a great and tragic crisis , including a bloody Civil War that often set brother against brother, and a depression that nearly leveled the economy for all time. We survived in all such cases.

Not anything I would give a second thought to, were I in a position to vote on the question.
Buy not being in either the House or the Senate, there's no danger of my having to vote on impeachment or removal.
Of course, I'm also not on the Supreme Court, but that's irrelevant, because they can't vote on the question, and they know it, having read the Constitution.
So, come November 2010 and November 2012, it will be up to the other 300 million of us.
Bingo Sourcery. There is also the problem that McCain was never eligible either. I won't go far into the explaination here since the Dems understood well that McCain's ineligibility provided cover for Obama, and initiated two senate actions, Senate Bill 2678 in Feb 2008 and Senate Res 511 in Apr. Why do you thing Clair McCaskill, on Obamas election committee, was so eager to get a law saying “The children born overseas of citizens in the military is a natural born citizen eligible for the presidency?” That was the John McCain bill, and the sponsors were quite open about it. Obama was the first cosponsor.
The second, SR 511, asserted that someone born overseas of two citizen parents is a natural born citizen. Note that the first action, SB2678 addressed McCain's real problem - he was born in Panama. It was unconstitutional, and didn't pass. The second action, SenRes 511, emphasized that McCain WAS born of citizen parents, unlike Obama, and never mentioned the first provision of natural born citizenship, “born on the soil ...” Obama was also a cosponsor of SR 511. But if you read the senate record, you'll see that both actions were about McCain. Dems were desperate to give the impression that McCain was eligible, an issue which was the subject of two lawsuits and half a dozen hearings over ten years.
If they had been serious about McCain's entitlement, they would have sponsored an amendment, as Orrin Hatch tried to do in 2003 to make Scharzenegger eligible.
Neither Obama nor McCain is eligible. Further, no bill, no appointment, no treaty signed by Obama has Constitutional validity. The weather is nice. Some of us have jobs. But we really do have a Constitutional crisis. Everyone in the Senate knows the truth. They counted on our ignorance. After no one questioned Obama's eligibility, but examined McCain's thoroughly, they all complicit in fraud on their constituents, and depending upon supercilious media pundits calling us names to avoid having to honestly address the issue. Now you know, I know, others are learning. Why would Obama's secret society, Soros, SDS, Alwaleed bin Talal, whomever they are, promote someone patently ineligible?
Sometimes I wonder if Obama isn't a manufactured crisis, aimed at demonstrating what tyranny really is. He'll get on a plane some day with Michelle and the girls and fly to that resort in Spain with all the Saudi yachts. He'll say - “I'm off; I've done my job and hope you learned your lesson, and will learn about and protect your Constitution after this.” He might even reveal from whence he came, what his name is, what schools he really attended, and write a best seller about the most audacious confidence scheme in history.
I think the authors of some of these articles know better but just like to spread misinformation to stir things up.
Gunny, the elites are ignoring we the little people as the federal oligarchy takes root. Some of the scum floating atop the various ‘heaps’ are more atuned to what their rewards might be for helping things along than they are loyal to the Constitution to which they swore allegiance.

It doesn't say that in the Constitution. The president may select a candidate to run as VP, but once the electors have chosen the VP, the president is stuck with him or her until the next election (unless the VP dies, resigns, or is impeached).
Schwarzenegger and his example are alive and well in the public consciousness.
In the recently-released movie The Expendables, Schwarzenegger makes an appearance (uncredited) in one early scene. In this scene several characters are negotiating for their employment as mercenaries in an overseas project.

Sorry but if Bozo was found ineligible then the whole ticket would be found ineligible due to the fact Bozo would not have had the authority to pick a VP, therefore McCain, being the next highest vote winner for that race, would assume the Presidency and Sarah would be VP. A fact which would send the left into absolute rages.
If zero would be found to be ineligible, she would be complicit in the cover-up. She is the one who vetted him.
About that time a cousin was involved with an East Indian gentleman. He was head of psychiatry at a good sized hospital. Some things were not right. After nearly marrying him, in spite of some checks on his credentials (she was doctor too) which didn't pan out, she got a call from a woman - this man's real wife!
He had been head of divisions in two major hospitals, but never gone to medical school. He was well known in the Indian community in New York, and they knew who he really was but kept quiet. His wife revealed that she was minding the restaurant in Florida while he was “away on business.”

Obama has been too long in the planning for this to be a one-man scam. Obama operatives used the weakness not just of McCain's character, but of legislators who have learned that juicy lobbying jobs in the future are more important than old and never-used provisions of the Constitution. They probably considered that behind Obama was Hillary, who was almost certain to be a two-termer. When Orrin Hatch and even Jim DeMint (whom I otherwise respect) can't come up with John Marshall or Morrison Waite's dicta about natural born citizenship, we need a major correction. Of course they are now all hoping to cover their behinds.
There is no question that “Keating 5 McCain” was in from the beginning. He had no chance in 2000, but the issue of his eligibility was all over, the NYT, WaPo, law faculty. Most forgot, including myself. And few of us understood the intent of the framers. You have probably asked attorneys about the definition as I did in 2008, and not one was able to give me a confident answer - and they were friends, some professors, not political adversaries.
We need to repair the damage from the clever Alinsky campaign of name calling. Who knew about Dr. Ramsay or Chester Arthur? Who read The Venus or Minor or Perkins v. Elg or Wong Kim, or Vattel? To understand requires that some of us have learned history we didn't know. Glen Beck's enthusiasm, even if he is afraid of the eligibility issue, (possibly because Fox has major Saudi ownership) has opened doors to our history for many. Beck avoids the troublesome authors like Marshall, Story, Ramsay, Bingham, or the wonderful mystery around Chester Arthur.
One recent justice, Charles Evans Hughes, ran against Woodrow Wilson didn't win, and got appointed Chief Justice by Harding. Then he wrote the Perkins decision, citing Minor - "...born on the soil of citizen parents. He tried to pull an Arthur/Obama. His parents were British subjects. He was exposed by a Democrat attorney, Breckenridge Long, in a lengthy dissertation on natural born citizenship published by the country's most popular Law Journal, Chicago Legal News. Hughes would probably have made a better president than Wilson, but if we change Article II, Section 1 it must be with great care, 2/3 of both houses and 3/4 of the states.
My kids groan when I read them James Wilson's Lectures on the Law at the dinner table. I didn't realize how carefully these men thought, or why citizenship was so critical to the structure of the nation built upon laws. Anyone who has had a security clearance knows that after your behavior, they check your parents, then neighbors. Of course Aristotle, Cicero, Pufendorf, Grotius and Vattel express the concepts more eloquently than the FBI.
We suspended disbelief after a while that a man whose origins we don't know, raised by Communists, an admitted drug abuser, can be made leader of the free world. The truth is, the only reason it happened was that we didn't respect our Constitution. It is remarkable in retrospect the importance of one’s father. Obama, or someone working for him wrote about the “Dreams From” his father, and the father was the key. We know more about Obama Sr. than about the son. But to our framers and founders, Obama could never have been president. The lapsed Muslim, Marxist, abuser of women, alcoholic, was a British subject and thus so was his son. To our framers, the allegiance of the father was demonstrably about the life and death of the nation.
