California Congressman Bilbray Creates Birth Certificate Controversy

One of the greatest lessons that I learned from the 2008 presidential elections was that Democrats would rather elect a constitutionally ineligible foreign-born enemy of this country and its constitution rather than elect a Republican. Even if that Republican was a “Republican in name only” and even if that Republican self ascribes himself as a Maverick, which is code for “I screw Republicans over all the time just like you Democrats.”

I fully expect the usual suspects the Lindsey Grahams, the Susan Collins, the Olympia Snows and the Scott Browns to stab Republicans in the front (so often it’s not the back anymore) but what I didn’t expect is someone that I supported and voted for to stab Republicans in the back.

Yet stabbed in the back, is exactly how I felt when I read reported in Worldnetdaily.com that Rep. Brian Bilbray (R-CA) made the claim that there's no need for the president to have been born in the United States – or to have two parents who are U.S. citizens – to be a "natural born citizen" and be eligible for the Oval Office. Obama’s birth facts have never been legally determined unless it was by some BC other than the Hawaii one. That is a fact.

If Bilbray and his staff have seen Obama’s genuine BC and can’t figure out what the problem is with the BC only being completed in 2006 when Obama was 45, they are beyond hope.

butterdezillion, pls spell this out for me.

1) how do we know Obama birth record amended in 2006?

2) how do we know a note of the amendment should appear on Factcheck COLB?

Or pls point me in the right direction on your blog or elsewhere.

I probably have a lot of the same questions that someone new to the eligibility issue might have.

Somebody requested to see the records of Obama’s amendment and the HDOH denied access to those records, which is an admission that they exist.

We know that the note of the amendment should be on the Factcheck COLB because the HDOH Administrative Rules say that any certificate the HDOH prints out (which includes the standard long-form OR the abbreviated COLB) must have note of amendments. The HDOH confirmed in an e-mail to me that the COLB is the “abbreviated birth certificate” referred to in the Administrative Rules.

The nitty-gritty details and documentation are posted on my blog but that’s the short answer.

I replied that my wife and I were very excited about his campaign up north to take the People's seat from Ted Kennedy!!
