Could Obama be more unpopular? Part Two
Power Line ^ | 7-2-2010 | Paul Mirengoff

My friend Bill Otis responds to John's post, which expressed surprise that President Obama is talking about immigration, given the unpopularity of the administration's position on that subject. Bill writes:

My view is that Obama is starting to talk about immigration because, although he surely knows it's a big loser, it's less of a loser than the items from which he hopes the immigration yacking wil distract attention, to wit, that the oil catastrophe continues apace while he is helpless and inert, and that there is a tepid recovery, if any, with a pitance of private sector jobs. Indeed, we might be looking at a double-dip, because business itself has become cautious about the destabalizing effects of limitless debt, not to mention the new taxes and mandates that are headed its way.

A 60% loser is better than a 90% loser.

A dictator like BO/BS doesn’t care about opinion polls or popularity.

I hope the Republicains get smart and for the next twenty - five years when running for any office, city, county, state, or federal, will always, when referring to the Democrat, ask, “Do you want to elect another Obama?”

The thing that is unbelievable is that the polls still report that he has close to 50% of the population who still like him and think he is doing a good job. I find that very hard to believe and expect it to be at a high no more than 30%. According to them most of the people who voted for him still approve of him. This has not been my experience at all.

That is only because over 90% of blacks support him, along with the 25-30% of people who identifiy themselves as liberal (communist).

One wonders how Obama would fare in the polls if
the MSM was just neutral, let alone not a part of
his team.

Could Obama get any more unpopular?

I’m afraid he’s got 2+ more years, I bet we are going to find out.
