[Yes, I hate World Cup soccer too. But, nevertheless, this is how The New York Times like to view the world.
Africas Last World Cup Hope Is Ghana
By JERÉ LONGMAN Published: June 25, 2010
PRETORIA, South Africa The six African teams in the World Cup have been whittled to one, meaning that Ghana will carry a continents hopes when it faces the United States in the Round of 16 on Saturday in Rustenburg. Related
What remains to be seen is whether Ghana will find that expectation to be an inspiration or a burden.
I hope we can benefit, said Milovan Rajevac, a Serb who coaches the West African nation.
Yet the other teams from the continent seemed to have been weighed down by anticipation of success. South Africa, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Nigeria have departed. Only Ghana remains, a surprise to some given that its best player, midfielder Michael Essien, is absent with a knee injury.

World Cup Ping!
Sometimes I think the New York Times would root for Gonorrhea over the U.S.
That's OK; I root for almost anyone over the New York Times.
Or maybe they were just beaten by better teams.
That’s nothing compared to many people in the Slimes, and other useful idiots, subtly rooting for the “insurgents” in Iraq against the “imperialist invaders” for 8 years.
“The U.S. is Gha-na win!!”
Translation: The U.S. is gonna win!!
Heehee...
It should be called OGhama.
OK
I read it.
Nothing in your fake headline is true.
But good story anyway, thanks I guess.
You apparently haven’t learned to read between the lines.
The real headline is “Africas Last World Cup Hope Is Ghana”
Try not to make up your headline
I do hope for a Ghana victory.. So the Soccer fad can die here in the States...

Ghana eliminated the U.S. before in World Cup soccer, and they could do it again. Most Americans in the U.S. don’t really care for adult men’s soccer, so why should the U.S. deserve to advance, when there continues to be so much American apathy for the game?
Imagine if everyone that posted an article on FR did it in the fashion you just did using a made up headline rather than the one at the source, never mind the fact that it in no way reflects the content of the article.
You did not use the actual headline.
Or Iran over Israel ...
And the Warsaw Pact over NATO.
