Sarah Palin = Libertarian = Tea Party = Ron Paul = Rand Paul

Etc., etc., as I have been saying for a while now.

Palin has come out of the libertarian closet.

Palim seems to be somewhere between a liberatarian, a RINO and a conservative. The supporters for each cause are scurrying like little ants. LOL

Believe whatever you want. I am chuckling out loud. COL!

anyone else having trouble with the audio?

Seems like we have some problems on FR with labels. One can be libertarian, without being a Libertarian (or a libertine, or an anarchist). Reagan was the most libertarian President of my lifetime (by FAR), but he was by no means a Libertarian. Any conservative that believes in limited government (which should be redundant, but isn’t) has some libertarian inclinations.

I like to ask, whats the Libertarian view of government role during time of flood, earthquakes. Somehow I just can’t get around the fact that government should do nothing in these situations, just like the gulf oil spill.

Government should build banks to stop floods or oil from hitting shore, they should provide some minimum shelter and food for ppl. Of course we should not make ppl whole from disasters, but we should at least provide some minimum assistance TEMPORARILY

i think the Judge wanted to boost Ron Paul in this debate with Palin. He probably think it be a cake walk to see Ron Paul beat Palin because Palin is such a “goofball”

I really want to like Sarah Palin.

She hitchd her wagon to McCain and as disappointed as I was, I gave her some slack because it seemed as if it were paying off a debt of some sort.

But if she's going to closely associate with Code Pink looney-tune DeceptiCon Ron Paul, I just don't think I can keep looking the other way.

My jury's still out on Rand, but it's looking a little murky.

Glad we got to hear from these great folks including Judge Napolitano who I greatly admire.

I'm sorry there wasn't more distinction made between state and federal "government" and "government intervention" which I think creates confusion in the analysis and debate. Regulation and emergency activities regarding oil company issues and abortion are legitimately STATE issues and they are NOT CONSTITUTIONALLY LEGITIMATE FEDERAL issues.

The only way abortion is a Constitutional issue is the due process clause protection of life, liberty, and property in the Constitution. Instead SCOTUS, with no Constitutional authority to do so, has made abortion legal at the federal level. SCOTUS has made abortion a federal issue. The only answer to that is either nullification at the state level and/or a Constitutional amendment banning abortion (under due process if need be).
