did I say that? sometimes i wonder if some people on here can read and process information above a 4th grade level.

I said her positions follow Reagan's positions and that she is a disciple of Reagan.

what you said would be like saying St Peter was Jesus.

Rubbish. Libertarian is weak and liberal on everything. Whoever follows them moves to the left. This is NOT conservatism, not in any sense, but your saying so is simply part of the campaign to blur the lines.

I'm not sure if they just do not see it or they have a hidden agenda. I kind of refuse to believe any adult can be that stupid so I lean towards them having a hidden agenda to tear down Palin so their candidate Mitt, huck can have a chance to win. they use any wedge issue or what they perceive as a wedge issue (McCain endorsement, Carly endorsement, Palin’s building a war chest etc) to try to drive a distance between her and her base.

It works about as well as a sack of stones but they still do ti.

proven she cannot take the heat. She quit.

....wow...way to swallow the leftist talking points! to bad a freeper can’t keep up with the simple facts of avoiding bankruptcy for her family and paying off legal debts foisted on her by Demorat operatives... but you jus keep believin’ them talkin’ heads, that’s bound to further conservative values.... uh huh. Read her book, you’ll learn a lot.

ymmv

Wow, that was not a logical conclusion to draw (IOW). She seems to believe in limited government, but also a strong defense, and alliances that are in our interest. That would seem to make her a pretty strong candidate in terms of general stances on issues.

I agree with you on her quitting. That does not speak well of her ability to take the heat.

intellectual lightweight.?

sure she does. she just spent 25 minutes debating Ron Paul on any and every issue that the judge wanted to talk about. she answered with clear firm positions on every question and stood her own with Ron Paul in fact on foreign policy she beat him cold.

but you know continue to parrot the MSM/left’s talking points.

Oh yeah it has also been reported by two different sources that she also has a photographic memory but don't let facts like that get in the way of your talking point

agreed its been 30 years since a politician has come on the national scene that blends social conservatism, libertarian conservatism, and foreign policy conservatism together like Palin does.

I still want to know what positions Palin holds that are libertarian, but are not also conservative. That would help us unblur those lines.

Palin has strong core principles, but comes across as an intellectual lightweight.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Isn’t what they said abour Reagan?

To the libs and MSM “intellectual lightweight” means she’s not one of them: an east coast, Ivy League, cocktail circuit snob.

What has she done since she "quit?"
Did she cry and crawl into a grizzly cave never to be heard from again?

She believes in states' rights, federalism, and though she's a Christian, she doesn't wear it on her sleeve.

Libertarians believe in open borders and a weak military.

- odd, I didnt see that in my Ayn Rand playbook - in fact Paul (pops) is a tad too isolationist for my tastes....

try not to speak for all of us

surely nobody still thinks the huckster is actually a conservative (or a viable candidate). Oh, wait, he’s for the Fair Tax, which was developed by libertarian talk radio host Neil Boortz. Huck is a libertarian plant!!! LOL

Libertarian is weak and liberal on everything.

Let's see -

Staunch supporters of the 2nd Amendment
Limited government
Low taxes
Belief in federalism
Social issues up to families and local communities

Yeah, that's real liberal

Sarah Palin is a small "l" libertarian Republican, essentially, a Pro-Life, Limited Government, Strong Military, anti-Gay Marriage Republican.

Just the same as Ronald Reagan.

Anyone having a problem with being a small "l" libertarian is really nuts.

Now, if you are trying to equate the almost anarchataristic big "L" libertarians with Sarah Palin, you are wrong.

There are two distinct and radically different sets of libertarians.

One set has no morals, wants drugs legalized, wants an open border, has no problems with gay marriage, and oh, is for limited government.

The other, like Reagan, realizes you can't have an effective limited government unless it is grounded in morality.

The founders where small "l" libertarians as well, judging by their public statements and writings.

Oh, I got all that, but this other poster seemed to be saying she was libertarian, and not conservative. I was wondering what views she holds that are not conservative, but are libertarian. He/she hasn’t been able to answer, for obvious reasons.
