General Keith Dayton: An American "Glubb Pasha"
Amerisrael ^

Posted on 05/25/2010 2:25:45 PM PDT by Amerisrael

Keith-dayton_ramallah This is something Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity need to put a spot-light on.

How our tax money is spent is definently both an American and conservative issue.

Not only have there been a few treasonus "American" Taliban and jihadists, there is also an American Glubb Pasha

The difference is that a treasonus American jihadist gets funding from other Islamists and sometimes also from illegal activities.

However, U.S. General Keith Dayton, an American version of the British Glubb Pasha, is funded by U.S. tax dollars to train and equip Fatah Islamists of the Palestinian Authority.

Glubb Pasha was a British army officer who trained Arabs that fought against Israel.

These Fatah Islamists have and will use their American military training and U.S. M-16's against our Israeli friends and allys. And potentially against Americans as well. At our U.S. taxpayer expense unless this outrageous program is stopped.

Maybe John Walker Lindh should be released into General Dayton’s custody.

With an apology.

Glubb was a British Army officer who trained and led the Arab Legion, which was a military formation of the state of Jordan. They fought in war against Israel a couple of times but to compare them to illegal terrorists like Fatah is a bit of a stretch. Glubb was also a historian whose studies of the Arab Empire are still well worth reading. Nobody in the UK ever considered him a traitor, to my knowledge.

The point of the blog post is that our tax dollars are helping Dayton to equip and train Fatah Islamists who have and will use their U.S. military training not only against our ally Israel, but in other geographic regions of the world to wage “jihad” as well.

That’s what they do. They get training in one place and sometimes travel to wage jihad somewhere else.

In that regard there have been “Palestinian” jihadists waging jihad along side of Filipino Islamists in the Philippines.

“Nobody in the UK ever considered him a traitor, to my knowledge”-

Not implying that he was.

However, looking at the larger context of the global militant jihad against the non-Muslim world , [House of War], Glubb Pasha certainly provided training to Islamists who made use of it against Israel.

In that larger context were not his actions an “aiding and abetting” of the enemy?

Well, the Jordanian Army are not considered jihadists, are they? They certainly weren’t decades ago when Glubb was active.

That said, the US shouldn’t be in the business of training any of these bastards or assisting them with our tax dollars. That’s a beef against the Obama regime, and the cure is to overthrow him at the ballot box.

Of course. Glubb was just carrying out post-white paper British policy of solving the Jewish Question in Palestine by siding with the Arabs at the cost of turning the Mediterranean red with Jewish blood.

As others have correctly noted, Sir John Glubb was simply doing his duty, assisting the Arab League in exterminating the Jewish plague in the mideast. Comparing him to Gen. Dayton probably isn't fair, Gen. Dayton is just in the training business, at the behest of the last two CIC's, which isn't a political thing. That America trains and arms Arabs to kill Jews isn't a nice thing, but that's not Dayton's fault.

INCORRECT>>>

Formal Education

* College of William & Mary - B.S. - History (1970)
* Cambridge University - M.A. - History
* University of Southern California - M.A. - International Relations

Gen Keith Dayton is highly educated. He likes his assignment to train the Palestinian military. He could worm out of it if he wanted. I assume the worst about anyone who collaborates with that shit head George Mitchell. In fact he is his stooge, just read Dayton’s Wiki entry>>>>

President Obama’s envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell, has asked Dayton, the American who has been overseeing the training of Mahmoud Abbas’s police forces, to stay on for two more years. Dayton, whose three-year assignment was due to end, has agreed, diplomats said. The question is could President Obama be using Dayton to train Mahmoud Abbas’s police force (military unit) to engage the IDF? This has become a question for Israeli leadership as is the idea that President Obama favors an anti Israeli outcome.

Never assume the best about those who help the Arabs especially with military training and aid. Assume the worst....then if further evidence shows they are relatively innocent dupes then so be it

General Dayton is not a dupe. By training the Palestinians he is accumulating free travel points for a permanent trip to hell

You don’t know anything about the situation over there. The IDF is supporting and cooperating with Dayton’s mission. Could it be because they’d rather have this security force fighting Hamas than doing it themselves. According to these reports the Palestinians who make up these forces are vetted by the Israeli and American security forces.

Before you blather about things you know nothing about maybe you should look at Hamas’ reaction to these forces. That might tell you something about what is really going on.

Also, this mission began under George W. Bush... A pretty good friend of Israel. General Dayton has served in the US army for 40 years and deserves some respect for his service. Not condemnation from some guy sitting in his parents’ basement.

Dayton training Palestinian Jihadists on how to make better war against Israel. I give no respect to Dayton. He can FOAD. As far as GW he did many misguided things though over all very good about Israel.

We are talking about Israel for the moment. Dayton is arming their enemies. Israel has enough problems with Iranian nukes and Turkey and Hezboolah. Dayton is not a joke. He is lethal.

Israel gets bullied into agreeing to harebrained American schemes all the time. IDF would rather this not be going on and you would too if you were Isreali. There are 1.2 billion Muslims that hate 6 million Jews in Israel. The last thing any Muslim anywhere on planet earth needs is more arms training. They already have too many weapons and Iranian nukes soon too to make you happy

Now is your turn to chime in about American aid to Israel and they have to do what we demand.

You kidding me? I don’t think Israel needs to be doing “what we demand.” I like Israel quite a bit. Glad they stopped that “peace flotilla” and I think Turkey owes Israel an apology rather than the other way around. Also, they need to keep blockading Gaza until the Hamas regime is gone regardless of what any other country says. Your opinion of Dayton and his mission is similar to that of Hamas. Hamas hates this mission. These security forces have killed Hamas members.

Oh, by the way, other big supporters of this mission include the likes of Congressman Ackerman... one of the best friends Israel has in our Congress. So to review - IDF supports, USA under Bush supports, Pro-Israel Congressmen like Ackerman support... Hamas - hates and opposes.

I’m very glad that you are not in a position of any kind of authority, because you seem really eager to turn friends into enemies without knowing any facts.

IDF Prepares for Potential Attack from US-Trained PA Military

* Posted 05/24/10

During a military exercise with the IDF’s elite Kfir Brigade last week at the Tze’elim base in Israel’s south, GOC Central Command Maj.-Gen. Avi Mizrahi warned soldiers of potential challenges they may face in the near future.

The Kfir brigade, created December 2005 to deal with unrest in Israel’s Judea and Samaria regions, trained extensively in urban warfare and simulated a scenario in which IDF soldiers were pitted against the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority’s new American-trained military.

Mizrahi told soldiers that the PA security forces, trained in Jordan by United States Lt. Gen. Keith Dayton, is a formidable potential enemy and that the IDF needs to know how to fight them if the need should arise.

“This is a trained, equipped, American-educated force,” Mizrahi said. “This means that at the beginning of a battle, we will pay a higher price. A force like that can shut down an urban area with four snipers… It is a proper infantry force facing us and we need to take that into account. They have attack capabilities and we do not expect them to give up easily.”

Keith Dayton himself has expressed belief that his PA army would likely attack the Jewish state in the event that Israel does not give in to the demands of the Middle East Quartet, comprising America, Russia, the United Nations and European Union. At a May 2009 lecture in Washington, Dayton indicated that if Israel does not surrender Judea and Samaria to the PA within two years, the Fatah forces he and his fellow American officers are currently training could easily turn their guns on the Israelis.

“With big expectations, come big risks,” Dayton said. “There is perhaps a two-year shelf life on being told that you’re creating a state, when you’re not.”

Following these remarks, United States Defense Secretary Robert Gates extended Dayton’s tour of duty for an additional two years and gave him the added responsibility of serving as deputy to President Barack Obama’s Middle East Envoy George Mitchell. The United States has already poured over $300 million into the new PA army and the acknowledged prospect of that army attacking the State of Israel has not deterred Washington from continuing to arm, train and finance it.
