With each passing year America sinks deeper into the tyranny of bureaucratic corporatism via today's incestuous relationship between Washington and Wall Street...Our schools, our churches, our publishers, and our entertainment industries are being infested with the serpents of Cultural Marxism. Political correctness dominates the herd mentalities and philistines who overwhelm the perceptive and productive at the polls every other November. The ignominious despotism that Tocqueville warned would come from "unbridled democracy" is stealing over our lives like the debilitating paralysis that invades the bodies of the arthritic. Yet our pundits revel in hosannas to their phony "engineered economic recovery" and how the upcoming century will finally bring us that "heaven on earth" that Rousseau, Marx and Keynes so naively promised, and that the huckster economists and social engineers of the West have been trying to stuff down our throats for 100 years now. This is certainly not the governing philosophy in which Jefferson and the Founders meant for us to engage.

I think saving us from a socialist president would be time better spent.
I think you’ll find Corporate-Statism to be just fine with most of us.
>I think youll find Corporate-Statism to be just fine with most of us.
But what happens when I consider myself to be my own corporate-state?
That sounds like fascism, why not just call it that?
Outstanding article.
I am glad there are people that understand evil when they see it.
But who will save us from globs of text with no pargraphs???!!!! WHO!!!!??!?!?!?!
Yeah, too many of you.
Not to put too fine a point on it, US corporations run the actual world, and you-all just whine for a living.
Under this modern day Imperial/Socialism there is no room for the Free Market or Individual Rights.
Our U.S. Constitution is being gutted not by changing the words but by making the words meaningless through the use of regulations and taxes.
Yup. These huge corps are just as much a danger as the big govt.
He’s a Marxist, a pure and radical one ...
Did everyone listen to Tom Fife?

It is fascism, but people came up with a new name for it because the old name has negative connotations. The new name will gain the same connotations, but it will take time, and that time is what its supporters need.
The author’s solution is a conservative third party, as if adding another to the existing dozen or so will make a difference.
Bad idea.
It’s like reading DU around here lately with all the anti-corporate talk.
Very bad idea. 3rd parties simply guarantee a leftist government.
A big chunk of America embraced fascism before it was properly disgraced. I hope its most recent incarnation - corporatism - dies quickly. It is a monstrosity that marries a permanent political aristocracy with large corporate power and money.
