Its the shirts thats the issue - I’m sure any bandanas are restricted by the dress code, I dont think American Flag shirts are.
The wearing of bandanas is against the school's dress code. The boys removed their bandanas. The administrator crossed the line when he told the boys to remove their shirts which were not in violation of the dress code.
They had bandanas AND T-shirts according to the article linked from Drudge this morning.
