You didn’t read my post correctly. I was referring to the many experts to whom you referred in your post.

I’m sure he was being somewhat facetious, but then you had to point out that there are more qualified people—we all know this, including Rush.

Good to see Rush all out for Palin. The two most effective conservatives of our time. Some people get bitter & twisted about that evidently.

Bushwah

Sara and hubby have nothing (on-record) to do with the clean-up in PWS.

'Bammy could have called

Veco - oh, wait

Could have called
Alaska Clean Seas
Crowley Marine
SeaPro
SeaCor Environmental Services
Aqua-Guard

The list goes on - of people who make their living as spill response operators, IOW experts. Not politicians.....

Todd was a fisherman in the area and knew frist hand the impact of spill...

Todd worked for BP for a couple of decades on the North Slope. I believe he was production supervisor.

I bet a production supervisor would have known who to call.

BTW, what does "Bushwah" mean?

“I never thought I’d see Limbaugh stoop to pandering.”

This statement is highly inconsistent with your posts, spanning many years, talking trash about Limbaugh.

It sounds like you’re trying to say you’ve always had respect for Rush until now, but your posts have contradicted this notion.

At this point, your status has been knocked back down to leftist troll who thinks he’s being a genius by appearing conservative on all but one or two targeted issues.

You misunderstood me, I said that Todd knew the impact of the spill on the environment as he was a fisherman, of course he worked for BP, but the understood the area according to “Going Rogue” and the Valdez story...

No, you misunderstood me.

Of course Todd knows about the impact because he was a fisherman.

I simply added the credential, "Todd worked for BP for a couple of decades on the North Slope" as a "production supervisor".

See http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/bushwa

Also spelled Bushwa and Bushwah, there are other local variations.

An otherwise polite word for bovine excretment.

I am also down on folks who want to blame 'Bammy for problems of the oil spill containment efforts.

Like it or not, 'Bammy "has people" who get paid a lot to deal with this stuff - some are even considered experts.

National Spill Response Center - 16 different FedGov agencies under an umbrella "organization" (call it what you will - I say disfunctional, at best)

Minus the Coasties, who were busting butt from day one, they seem to be a large waste of taxpayer dough.

FWIW, the Production Super would have called his boss, who would have called his boss who would have called Alaska Clean Seas, the local spill response vendor.

He then would have executed his "Emergency Action Plan" and unassed the AO - leaving the containment and cleanup to the experts.

You might find this photo set of interest.

Land based spills are a tad easier to control and to clean up.

The equipment for a ocean spill response is expensive and must be on hand to deal with this sort of stuff - it was not, a failure pointed right at the NSPC staff and thier lack of action - since 1994.

Experts are obviously involved. Rush is raising the question of leadership, and like it or not, in these situations, politicians as executives can and do make a difference to the outcomes. As in the case here, under Obama's leadership - and it's another example where his lack of executive experience is painfully evident.

Really? In a national disaster the president is absolutely responsible for the adequacy of the response. Not the outcome. The adequacy of the response. Obama’s reponse has not been adequate in my opinion.

Understood, a production supervisor, on the job, would have called his boss.

But, I would bet, a former production supervisor, minus the protocol of his former job, and with the power of Obama's current job, would have gotten a better result than Obama.

I think that was Rush's point.

You should really read some of the parallel stories about the NSRC, and how “good” they have been, for several administrations.

For example, fire resistant floating boom - identified as far back as 1994 (Ya, Bush's "fault", and Clinton's as well for that matter) as needed for just this kind of response - it will allow in-situ burning.

How much was on hand?

Zip - oops.

Plenty of blame to go around, plenty.

Humblegunner, are you in real life a female sea turtle full of eggs, hovering outside Rush’s oceanfront property, angry at him for leaving the lights on again? You show up on Rush threads to bash him within minutes. I think you are a sea turtle desperate to lay your eggs.

LOL - You see, HG, if you had only compared *SARAH* ~cue angelic harp strums~ to Jesus you would've been not only accepted, but accepted as someone other than a nefarious leftist troll. But no, you have to be stubborn.

Yeah, and many hundreds of thousands of folks have more direct experience than the Palins.

I never thought I’d see Limbaugh stoop to pandering.

Sad day.

It's always good to see intelligent commentary on a Palin thread. Thanks. :)

Sometimes Rush says dumb things. This is one of those times. He’s acting as a Palin cheerleader here.
