Only trouble is, they won’t bother with us until they work their way through the soft targets and maybe crowbar enough politicians around sideways that they’ll just declare us outlaw and send some of our own to put us down.
Don’t know about you, but I plan to make that a very lively experience for somebody.
Taught this crap for ten years, spent twenty watching my students and thinking up refinements and just about ready to put all that theory into practice. Even got kids (and now a couple of grandkids) who are almost better shots and maybe meaner in a fight than The Old Man.
Little Big Horn’s a bit east of our place, so we’ve got a good example right in the neighborhood.

Ummmmm I kinda think that maybe the ALAMO would present a better example. Little Big Horn was indeed a massacre but one born of Custer's arrogance and I'm not certain the costs were that significant to the attacking force. But the Alamo? Those defenders extracted a dramatic cost in lives (demonstrated in the ratio of defenders to attackers) and time that allowed Texas to get some serious payback at the Battle of San Jacinto. I'd like for my story to be whispered in hushed and reverent tones around the campfires of patriots for generations... wouldn't you? Get some!!
