And they do NOT serve Brussel Sprouts ;)

Always a PLUS in my book!

The Mom and I are going to sample restaurants in a few days for your next shoot.

I will veto any that has that disgusting dish on the menu.

Duh! I could have sworn that you were from the North, the way you were sliming okra! LOL As you know, we consider okra a Southern dish...

Are the sprouts common in Iraqi food?

No. Or I wouldn't keep going back over there.

The chow halls serve them sometimes, but I always make a beeline past them and towards anything chocolate to offset the fact that I {shudder!} saw them.

I don’t think German restaurants or BBQ joints serve Brussel Sprouts so I think we’re pretty safe.

In fact am pretty sure I have never sen them in all of Texas.

The “wardrobe malfunction” was unplanned, I assure you.

I don't believe that for a minute. I mean, c'mon....it even looks rehearsed.

Best thing to do with spinach is to fry 4 slices of bacon, then remove the bacon, crumble it and set it aside for a while.

Throw in a chopped whole hot onion and fry in the bacon grease until lightly golden, toss in three cloves diced garlic, add a half bag or so of frozen spinach, the crumbled bacon, a squirt of lemon and cook until it’s thawed.

Then remove from the heat and mix it with a cup of parmesan cheese, salt and pepper to taste. Then stuff the mixture under the skin of chicken thighs along with a slice of mozzarella cheese for each and put them into a baking pan.

Sprinkle the chicken with whatever seasoning you like or just garlic powder, salt and pepper. Pour in a bit of wine and bake in a preheated oven until done and crispy on top.

Everytime I hit refresh, I see a new post to this thread. Might as well jump in. :-)

I love Brussel Spouts.
Boil until tender, drain, salt & pepper to taste and I am good to go!

Believe it or not, real maple syrup, chopped scallions and a bit of butter are really tasty stuffed into a whole trout and broiled. Serve it with brown & wild rice casserole...

Now don't go trashing beets.

My favorite summer vegetable.

Peel, shred and saute in butter. Earthy and delish. If you eat too much though, you will have pink pee. Weird.

Leave out the maple syrup. that’s for sausage. Yum!

A favorite field dish. I use wild onions.
And I’ve made them with scrambled eggs for breakfast on the lake.

clean em and replace the guts with butter and onions, then grab a pan!

I guess they also think cornbread is properly made in muffin tins

Here in Texas it is considered a justified shooting for those that cook cornbread in anything except for cast iron.
