Tom Coburn is exactly correct. Most liberals are good are good hearted and well intentioned. Likewise most of those who supported the Bolshevik revolution were good hearted and well intentioned.

We make a mistake in attacking people’s character and motives. Our strength is in the facts. The fact is that many well intentioned people are going to hell.

The fact is that good intentions rarely result in good results. The law of unintended consequences rules.

Example from our side. Some freepers support a big government approach to immigration that would give the gubmint the power to tell private employers who they can and cannot hire. They think they have good intentions.

They don’t see that government will not use that new power against illegal immigrants. Gubmint will use that new power against those on a DHS hate-list given to it by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Thank you, for a post of clarity. Cogent points, and true.

I agree. Unfortunately most people going to hell have a notion it isn't so, God is love, there is no hell, and they need do nothing, cause it is what they think.

God help the lost, in Jesus name. amen.

“Most liberals are good are good hearted and well intentioned.”

I disagree. Most that I’ve met are filled with hate and bitterness. They are envious of those better off, and condescending to those who are not.

They use government as an excuse for their own sins. They want government to care for the poor, so that they do not have to. They want government schools because they don’t want to educate their own kids - assuming they didn’t abort them first.

“19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. 26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.” - Romans 1

The Apostle Paul met some of the same liberals I have...

No doubt some liberal citizens are good intentioned, but leftists are not. Then you have Dem politicians like Pelosi and Hillary and Reid. I believe they have no real belief in any political agenda, but they do believe in Dem/personal power. Someone that gets up there and lies day after day and knows they are lying is not good intentioned. President Bush, I had my disagreements with him, but look at how they lied and treated him with their media comrades day after day for 8 years. That’s good intentioned? There’s no point in pretending any more. It may make one feel good to believe as Anne Frank did that basically people are good at heart, but it’s not based in reality IMO—especially when it comes to Dem politicians.
