Well I certainly don't wish him in Leavenworth and I don't see that as a possibility. And he certainly doesn't deserve to be demonized in any way. He's made his decision and I respect him for it. But I also think that he's throwing he career away and nothing will come of it.
Let me ask you a couple of questions.
First, what is a legal order?
It seems a legal order must:
1. be made by an appropriate military superior/authority
2. relate to military duty (i.e. must have something to do with the current operation)
3. not contravene the Constitution or any existing laws (and treaties)
Second, do you see anything here the Lt. Col could base his defense on?
