Former U.S. Rep. Steve Chabot of Ohio has filed a federal statement of candidacy for the 2010 election, saying his unsuccessful re-election bid last November was partially sidelined by the candidacy of President Barack Obama. More »
All the Stupak traitors must go.
Chabot is a good man and deserves this seat back. Too many GOP and independent voters allowed themselves to depart from reality in recent years and were either convinced to ‘sit one out’ or fell for the left’s lies. Men like Chabot should be in Washington.
Do we have a list of names yet?
I attended high school with Steve in Cincinnati, and you are absolutely correct in your assessment. He is a man of integrity and a true fiscal conservative. When he was first elected to Congress, his district was comprised of solid middle class working folks. Unfortunately, as the elders have begun to die off, a much lower class of people have moved in. The kind Democrats love to prey upon. Otherwise, Driehaus could never have come close to taking him out.
I hope Steve Chabot regains his seat, and begins to groom a protege’ to carry the torch when he is ready to leave office voluntarily.
I am from Chabots district and worked as a poll observer last election and I know why he was beaten. The great unwashed mass who never showed up at the polls before in their lives came out and voted a straight ticket for the Democrats. A out of district friend of mine came over before the election and he was amazed at the number of CHABOT signs in peoples yards but again, waves of first time voters came out and tipped the scales.
Trust me people, I will be volunteering at the Chabot campaign this year to get rid of that POS Steve Driehaus.
He was doing really well in the polls before this weekend, and I'm sure he will only do better as we get closer to November.
Anyone who can spare it please throw some money his way. I have already and will be doing so again, and also volunteering for him as much as I can.
Steve Driehaus is toast. This vote is only a nail in the coffin that started long ago. He also voted for Cap-and-Trade and the Stimulus. He hasn’t voted against the House Democratic leadership on any important votes yet. Steve Chabot is in great position to finish him off. Black turnout will be down without Obama on the ballot and Driehaus has voted like a straight liberal in Washington.
