A shocking, new survey in the New England Journal of Medicine says that 46% of US doctors will either quit or be forced out of their practice if Obamacare passes. While this number is shocking because it is fretfully high and means that nearly one out of every two doctors in the US will no longer practice if Obamacare passes, it is nonetheless a dependable figure reported by a leading physician search firm with offices in the Atlanta and Dallas area, the Medicus Firm. The areas of specialty hit hardest by Obamacare, according to the survey, are in the family medicine and internal medicine fields. The bad survey results just continue as it was also revealed that a whopping 72% of doctors feel that a public option (such as that the Democrats have been flirting with) would cause the supply of doctors to decline, and, maybe consequently, an equally alarming 63% of doctors would not even recommend medicine anymore as a career choice!

Suburban American kids are not interested in medicine, but the immigrants are, and their kids are.
Driving out the old guard and replacing them with ROP types is part of the plan.
But don't worry, they think just like us and practice the same kind of medicine, right?
Throw in one more problem: the state of education in our country raises serious doubts as to our ability to produce students capable of handling the rigors of medical school.
In the future, most of the doctors you see will come from foreign countries (which is fine with me- I’d rather have a properly trained physician from Turkey than an American who got through a medial school dumbed down to meet the abilities of poorly educated students)

The supply of US born doctors will decrease dramatically as occurred in Britain. The US will follow the British model and import jihadi Muslim doctors. Sweet!

Not only will there be brain drain, there will be revenue flight as soon as professionals see the writing on the wall.
If there is anything that will totally kill the idea of the United States as a free country it will be preventing them from travelling freely.

It’s not just about the money. Socialized medicine will put them under the thumb of the govt. They don’t want to be controlled by the govt. anymore than we do.
I will point this out...having lived in Germany for fifteen years.
Around 2005, in Germany....roughly 5,000 German doctors gave notice and left the country (they actually unregistered and gave intent)...and they left for countries like Australia, US, Canada, etc. By spring of 2006...the German government realized a huge problem was underway and quickly agreed to some salary upgrades and cost upgrades (they admitted quickly that it would send health insurance higher, but they had no choice).
In a country of 80 million, and with a university system geared to produce X number of doctors per year....they could not readily make up the missing doctors. So you began to notice foreign doctors (mostly Turkey & Russia) showing up and being a junior partner in a local clinic.
They sit and review the exit numbers now on a monthly basis. They can’t force the doctors to stay....so money is the only enticement.
For well over forty years....price control was the thing that kept German universal health care affordable and within reason. It’s basically in a failure state now.
This past year...while the percentage for a citizen is set at roughly 15.5 percent of your salary for your health care package (your employer pays the same)....they’ve had to start a extra fee (roughly $8 a month) on top of the percentage. This month, they announced that this fee in 2011 will go to around $30 a month. Within five years....the monthly fee....on top of your 15.5 percent deduction...will be around $60 a month. You can see the game being played out.
Based on the economic system in all of these countries....you will be unable to pay for regular health care...under any package...by 2040. Medicare, universal health care....it doesn’t matter. And it’s simply a matter of your expectations of living into your 70’s, while smoking and drinking as much as you please. The system isn’t broke, but our expectations are.
I think it is likely that the “plan” will require practicing doctors to accept Obamacare patients regardless of the fees paid. After all, who can refuse to accept the US government? But hey, with 30 million newly insured, coverage for all preexisting conditions and half the number of doctors, what could go wrong?

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.
When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!
We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!
