DeMint 'less confident' GOP can stop health bill

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) said Monday that he is "less confident" that his party can stop the Democrats' healthcare reform bill from passing.

The Associated Press reported that DeMint added that he still believes the healthcare bill will be President Barack Obama's "Waterloo."

The conservative senator appeared at a fundraiser for Senate candidate Marco Rubio in the Palmetto State. His announcement came as the House Budget Committee passed a series of fixes to the healthcare reform legislation 21-16, moving the process closer to a final vote.

Last year, DeMint predicted that the healthcare overhaul would "break" the president.

“If we’re able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo, it will break him,” he said.

DeMint is exactly right.

There is NOTHING the Republicans in Congress can do to stop this. That is why it is up to US, the American people, to let the rats know that WE will not sit still for this piece of communisim that they are trying to force on US.

The scary thing about it is once it passes, most Republicans will embrace it, calling this theft “compassionate Conservatism.”

The sons of liberty visited the govna’s residence when they weren’t happy. If this bill passes and they all come home for the holiday maybe they would like some company?

“Wow you got sad Republicans where you live. The ones I know are predicting Civil War II.”

They’ll flip. They cannot even describe why this bill is so bad because deep at heart, they like it—the idea of transferring wealth from us to privileged private corporations.

Rush Limbaugh will tell his dolts in one year’s time: “You know, I played golf this weekend with my friends from Aetna, and they told me how good this is for the country...”

If the democrat thugs are willing to break their oath to uphold the Constitution there really isn't much the minority can do about it, now is there? Those who have taken an oath to uphold the Constitution and then, especially as a premeditated tactic, announce their joy in breaking that oath are nothing less than traitors.

We shall soon see whether those who are happy to paint both parties with the same brush can simply ignore the fact that one party has absolutely no regard for the Constitution. If at that point, someone thinks both parties are alike, then at that point they're showing themselves to be either part of the democrat fifth column or completely worthless citizens. There is a distinct difference between those who may not toe the line their constituents expect and those who will place their party and their party leader above the highest law of the land.

I'm no fan of Romney and I'm sure no fan of McCain, but neither of them would be having their party hold the population at large down so they could shove the Constitution up the republic's butt nor would even the RINO wing be going along with a president who told them to do so.

Regards

Sure there is. But it'll take more guts than we've seen on display so far.

You were saying ...

“stopping” this is the duty of the American people....

Well, since the American people don't have a direct vote on this, how do you propose that they stop that vote from going through?

If this bill becomes law individual rights granted by our Creator will soon cease to exist as a principle of law in America.

Well, I can see something a whole lot less dangerous than Civil War, and a whole lot more effective than Civil War -- if (and only if) -- everyone who is opposed to this would do it.

That would be for all who are opposed to immediately stop paying all taxes of all kinds. No taxes of any kind anywhere and have tax moratorium for several years -- just a simple refusal to do so.

That wouldn't get people shot or killed. BUT, it would have an immediate effect on the operation of all levels of government.

HOWEVER, I think (just my opinion, mind you), that the less dangerous thing, which would be a whole lot more effective -- won't be done by people opposed to this.

And if the less dangerous thing can't be done, I don't quite see how on earth people are going to go for getting shot up and going on raids and bombing places and blowing up buildings and killing officials (that's a Civil War, doncha know...).

So, I doubt that you're going to get a mass of people protesting by not paying their taxes -- or -- even get anywhere near a significant number of people who will go into "Civil War" mode and start shooting people, blowing up facilities (of the "enemy" doncha know...) -- and so on.

I think all that will happen is a whole bunch of mad people and maybe some more Tea Party marches and perhaps some organizing for political events and then a big push to get some Representatives out of office.
