The comment about Knox County, Tennessee in the comments section is hysterical.

It's probably true...the county I lived in when I was in Tennessee never bothered to run a Democrat for any office...it was a complete waste of time. Paradise. :-)

I live in the #4 county in the nation in which to raise a family according to Forbes Magazine. My county should be right at the top. PING for later.

Be careful, though... some East TN R’s are appalling RINOs, especially Traitor Kent Williams, the Puppet Speaker of the House.

Pima County AZ (Tucson) WON’T be on the list. We have twice the debt of all the other counties in Arizona COMBINED!

It is amazing what a Democrat controlled county can achieve when they put their hearts into it....

“Is that the one from Carter County?”

Yep, Mr. Williams is from Carter County. Not the first RINO from there.

I'm waiting to see where my County (Williamson, Texas) winds up...I'm betting in the top 10, but we will see.

Collin County Texas will also place high I think.

Three Louisiana parishes in 41-60! Bet mine (Lafayette) is even closer to the top of the list :-)

I was born in Lafayette and moved from there in 1997. I still keep in close touch with my family and friends there.

I think Lafayette may rank high, but after living in Collin and Williamson Counties, there is no way that Lafayette Parish will out rank them. The North side of Lafayette may wreck it's chances however.

When I voted in the Texas primary a few weeks ago, the democRAT side of the room was vacant and sounded like crickets, while the GOP side had all voting booths occupied.

Nice to be on the list. (San Diego County is pretty much the same as OC, but spread out to a bigger area. Why not on list?)

OC population in 1965 = 1,000,000
OC population in 2010 = over 3,000,000

YES!

2. Forsyth County, Ga.
Largest city: Cumming
The Democratic Party built its powerful urban machines on highly centralized networks of precincts and municipal organization. The Republican Party seems to have built its strongholds on decentralization. Forsyth County, northeast of Atlanta, has a little more than 150,000 residents. Only about 6,000 of them live in an incorporated area. The rest of the county is totally decentralized. In places like this, homeowner associations are more powerful than any branch of local government. Forsyth County gave George W. Bush 83 percent of the vote, better than Democrats did in cities like Philadelphia and Manhattan, and about dead even with San Francisco.

Sweet home Forsyth County...
