From the MEMO:

---2. I continue to encourage all of you not to get into debates about process and to try and persuade your Member not to get into process arguments either. At this point, we have to just rip the band-aid off and have a vote -- up or down--

Agree, we should never have let them get this far to begin with. Time to move outside your comfort zone. REFUSE to pay a cent in taxes, fines or anything to do with the bill, if it passes. I can assure you, national revolt or strike will have them cowering in corners.

If this wasn’t a very real worry for the Dems, Massa wouldn’t have said it. It would have been silly to invoke it, if it was something they didn’t kinda fear already,,

He also alluded to a cover-up of how bad the economy really is.

"They are treating the Constitution like toilet paper and 40% of the country and all the MSM are cheering wildly for them as they do it."

Agree. And I have it on good authority that the actual plan is to take a page from the great Emancipator Abraham Lincoln. Barak is going to surprise everyone and issue his Health Care Emancipation Proclamation. And just as with Lincoln's proclamation no Congressional action is even necessary! I have included the text below.

By the President of the United States of America:

A Proclamation.

Whereas, on the twentieth day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand and ten, a proclamation was issued by the President of the United States, containing, among other things, the following, to wit:

"That on the first day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand and eleven, all healthcare within any State or designated part of a State, the people whereof shall then be represented by a Democrat, shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free; and the Executive Government of the United States, including the military and naval authority thereof, will recognize and maintain the freedom of such healthcare, and will do no act or acts to repress such persons, or any of them, in any efforts they may make for their actual healthcare.

"That the Executive will, on the first day of January aforesaid, by proclamation, designate the States and parts of States, if any, in which the people thereof, respectively, shall then be represented by Democrats; and the fact that any State, or the people thereof, shall on that day be, in good faith, represented in the Congress of the United States by members chosen thereto at elections wherein a majority of the qualified voters of such State shall have participated, shall, in the absence of strong countervailing testimony, be deemed conclusive evidence that such State, and the people thereof, are represented by Democrats."

Now, therefore I, Barak Hussein Obama, President of the United States, by virtue of the power in me vested as Commander-in-Chief, of the Army and Navy of the United States in time of actual health care crisis affecting the government of the United States, and as a fit and necessary measure for suppressing private property, do, on this first day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand and eleven, and in accordance with my purpose so to do publicly proclaimed for the full period of one hundred days, from the day first above mentioned, order and designate as the States and parts of States wherein the people thereof respectively, are this day represented by Democrats, the following, to wit:

All the blue ones.

And by virtue of the power, and for the purpose aforesaid, I do order and declare that all healthcare within said designated States, and parts of States, are, and henceforward shall be free; and that the Executive government of the United States, including the military and naval authorities thereof, will recognize and maintain the freedom of said healthcare.

And I hereby enjoin upon the healthcare so declared to be free to abstain from all payment, unless in necessary self-interest; and I recommend to them that, in all cases when allowed, they labor faithfully for reasonable wages.

And I further declare and make known, that such persons of suitable condition, will be received into the healthcare plan of the United States to get whatever healthcare they want, and to get treatments of all sorts in said health service.

And upon this act, sincerely believed to be an act of justice, warranted by the Constitution, upon military necessity, I invoke the considerate judgment of mankind, and the gracious favor of Almighty God.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed.

Done at the City of Washington, this first day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand and eleven, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred thirty fourth.

By the President: Barak Hussein Obama Hillary Rodman Clinton, Secretary of State.

Orrin Hatch said that? We’re doomed. He’s usually the first to roll over for the Dems after he makes a definitive declaration like that.

As low as my opinion of Democrats is, I can’t believe they’ll round up sufficient numbers to pass by the Slaughter rule.

I think you are right. Which would look worse in a political attack ad:

1) A vote for a healthcare bill that has provisions that are probably unconstitutional

2) A vote for a rule that is not only clearly unconstitutional, but also antitheical to our system of government. In addition, those who vote for this rule will hardly be able to claim that they would have voted against Obamacare.

To heck with the French. While not as bloody as La Marseillaise. We have our own traditions

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:

And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand,
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause. it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust"
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

But I must admit the author, of La Mareseillaise, Claude-Joseph Rouget de Lisle, did have a way with words,

Let's go children of the fatherland,
The day of glory has arrived!
Against us tyranny's
Bloody flag is raised!

In the countryside, do you hear
The roaring of these fierce soldiers?
They come right to our arms
To slit the throats of our sons, our friends!

Grab your weapons, citizens! (Aux armes citoyens...!)
v Form your batallions!
Let us march! Let us march! May impure blood
Water our fields!

I think they are pushing for a March 18 vote , so after they screw us by passing this Obamanation it gets pushed off the front page by Immigration reform , which starts of with a March on Washington March 21. My bet is the vote happens in middle of the night March 20th.

(If you check out the link you will find they are running buses. What to bet your tax dollars are at the bottom of it all)

Article 1, Section 7 syas, in majority:

Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively, If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournament [sic from online PDF source] prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law.

You appear to have a novel understanding of the English language. This paragraph lists three distinct specific instances where a bill must be "passed" by one house or the other (or both).

First, the initial passage. Second, on veto, in the originating house. Third, subsequent to veto and override in the originating house, in the non-originating house.

Then the phrase "But in all such Cases" enters the stadium, which clearly refers to the initial passage, or to the post-veto override alike, unless the definition of "all" has become merely "some".

From the language, it is clear to me that the recorded vote applies to initial passage just the same as override.

Nice. Thanks. The thought of our Congress actually considering implementing a takeover of our healthcare system without a vote just makes my blood boil. Washington is 90% corrupt. Thus: Aux armes, citoyens!

Place your bets, mesdames et messieurs. Maundy Thursday? Good Friday? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Born to kill on Christmas. Betrayed by Easter.

Well, Janet Reno's thugs took Elian Gonzalez out of the loving arms of his family on Holy Saturday while most of the nation was busy dying Easter eggs. Nothing was done about this illegal act and an innocent 6 year old child was returned to a Communist Hell-hole to grow up as an enemy of this nation.

Think they will try to make a square peg fit in a round hole, But the fact Pelosi issued a memo to keep the procedure quite , is an indication they know ethically and legally this is very gray area.

This proves that the Democrat leadership is fully aware that what they are doing is un-Constitutional. This is a willful act of subversion.
