Who would have predicted the collapse of the Soviet Union? Wasn’t nukes or war that did them in but an unsustainable economic system.

Ron Paul did a lot to amplify my impression of him as a goofball the other day when he accused the Fed of financing the 1974 Watergate break-in. I am no big fan of Bernanke or the Fed either, for that matter, but they are not evil alien conspiratorial invaders.

Ron Pual is the only person that get it. Most of you so called “conservatives” are actually big government statists.

Very few people have much to gain from predicting the collapse of the USA. Nothing about Ron Paul indicates that this is what he desires, or that he has something to gain from it. What he says, simply makes sense. This discussion about healthcare, is the wrong discussion. We need to be discussing how we will pay our debt off, and not be manipulated by foriegn creditors.

The US has 80000 tons of gold supposedly. The best solution is to re-value the dollar 1 for 10 etc. and return to a gold backed system. Won’t be painless but much better then waiting for Japan, India, etc to do it first.

Ron & Rand Paul were asked to leave the zoo today because the monkeys are tired of them embarrassing primates in front of the other animals.

“hacked emails and other disclosures revealed deep divisions among scientists working with the United Nation-sponsored group (IPCC).”
“deep divisons”? There were no divisions. What the hacked emails revealed was a conspiracy, not only to fudge data, but also to discredit real scientists, who put their careers at risk by refusing to fall into line with these miscreants.

“To restore its credibility, the IPCC will focus on enforcing rules already on the books, IPCC Chairman Rajendra Pachauri and other officials said in interviews. Scientific claims must be checked with several experts before being published.”

Huh? The IPCC believes that it can restore its credibility by investigating itself? They must be planning to have their “scientific claims” endorsed by Al Gore.
