It isnt easy to stand behind your principles. But when I find a set of principles inherently American that I recognize and can identify, I easily stand behind them. If I learned nothing else in the U.S. Army, I did learn that you must stand firm on your instincts when you know youre right, and those principles dictate youre right. I found those principles in conservatism, and I was introduced to them formally by Rush Hudson Limbaugh III.

Ha haaaaa!!!
That's your best stuff yet.
That sounds exactly like something a deranged Beck-hater would say.
You had me going, though, I must admit.
big big Mark Levin BUMP
What a quandary. I love Beck AND Levin. I have to give GB credit; at least he doesn’t guttersnipe other talk show hosts.
Yhello!
Its time to do a reversal on Glenn Beck.
He’s just another talking head. There is no difference between him and Keith Olbermann. No difference between Glenn Beck and Ed Schultz. They’re all the same.
Or at least Levin doesn't do it behind their backs.
No difference between Levin and Joy Behar. They’re all the same.
Smart . . . really smart.
This is satire. He's just writing what he thinks deranged Beck Derangement Syndrome sufferers would say
Ha haaaa!!! He got you good.
Don't feel bad. I fell for it at first, too.
Well, when you've got four top bestsellers on the list at the same time, you don't worry about snipes.
I wish Levin wouldn't do this. This does not elevate him.
Could we have a “satire” in the title, so as not to waste the time of people who aren’t looking for satire?
I agree with the writer. I think Beck is doing this for the ratings. And his close connection to O’Reilly is discomforting.
The very same mantra of Rush, Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Sarah Palin.
I'm not willing to call Glenn Beck "The Pied Piper" because I think he's both entertaining and enlightening. He's very well read and I enjoy his "lessons" in American history, complete with chalk board. It's almost like being in school again. :)
This essay is a departure for you, Chris!!!
One of the problems you find when you do nothing but satire most of the time is that people tend to not take you seriously, or consider the fact that it might just be serious.
And I used to do this kind of a thing all the time. Of course I’m not echoing anything different than Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, and Sarah Palin. I’m just pointing out that far too many people are smitten with someone who is content to say “there’s no different between the parties.”
There’s a huge difference. The Republicans, though misguided as of late, do not in anyway support socialism. And it’s also asinine to support a thirty party. We’ve been down that road and see where it landed us. But thank you for reading. I do appreciate it, ma’am.
And this is not satire for those that think I tried to make people fall for it.
Anyone who tells me I and other Republicans are no different than Democrats is my enemy. There are millions of us who have worked darn hard for decades fighting off the left. We are not the same as they are. I do voter registration. One of the hardest obstacles to overcome is the idea there is no difference between the parties. Glenn Beck reinforces that everyday.
He's not well in the head if he can't see a difference between Bush and Obama, between Michelle Bachmann and John Conyers, between even Hillary and Obama.
Glenn Beck promotes moral equivalency. He promotes the Clinton excuse: "Everybody does it." That is the first reaction we get when trying to convince someone of the evils of the left. Republicans do it too! Republicans are no different. I hear it in my family, I hear it when I do voter registration. Glenn Beck does the cause of limited government no favor when he repeats it as if it were true.
