Upon reflection of a THIRD 4-year term of RINO Rick Perry, or letting RINO Kay Bailey sit at the governor's mansion, I am willing to accept Medina's answer is that she is not a Truther. She says she's not, and I believe her.

After listening to her today in person myself, it's clear that an outsider who is dedicated to restoring Texas Sovereignty instead of letting Obama and the Federal government run Texas — as they've been running DC the last year — is needed. We cannot afford Perry or Hutchison to run Texas into the ground more than they already have. Their records speaks VOLUMES! I'm done compromising with RINOs!

As Medina said today, "a rising tide lifts all boats". If a Texas governor stands up for the State's 10th Amendment rights, other States will follow. It's CLEAR that Perry and Hutchison will NOT get us there, as they've proven time and time again.

But I think Medina can get us there and restore Texas to being the strongest State in the republic.

In her news conference Friday, it is clear Medina was trying to clean up the mess. But in our interview with her hours after the Beck radio show, she repeated there are still questions that need to be answered.

On Friday, she told reporters she is curious why no New York City police officers died in the towers when so many firefighters did.

!!!!!

That's not true, however, as 60 police officers were killed.

This is why Ron Paul had so much trouble. The Truthers were following him around like puppies. There are many in the Tea Parties and all we need is to have a MSM reporter interview a couple of them and all of us will be kooks. If Medina is a Truther, she is finished.

I took my Medina for Governor yard sign down after the Beck interview. I defended her on a number of FR posts. I had donated to her campaign, and I liked everything she said previously in the debates and Tea Parties; however, she crossed the line into Wacko-dom as a 911 truther. Medina could have handled this very easily with a quick and resounding 'NO' to the Beck interview question, and I am now concerned about her rational mind-set. Being a Ron Paul-type candidate, as accused on FR posts, does not disuade me, but 911 was an Islamic Terrorists conspiracy, and the USA did land on the moon -- and I hope no one asks Medina in public about that one.

Medina stated: “As Texas is currently $33 billion in debt, triple of what Perry inherited when he first took office, it would take until 2047 to pay that debt off.”

So who is lying? Medina says it’s $33B in debt. Perry says it’s a $9B surplus.

Must consider that this happened in Houston, which is probably the #2 most liberal/progressive city in Texas behind Austin.

Her talking points (and often KBH’s as well) also always include accusing Perry of things he may have proposed at times that never happened. The TTC didn’t happen, injections for young teen girls didn’t happen, etc.

No rationally thinking conservative Texan would want this Paulbot as Governor. She’s a nurse who latched onto a more efficient way to process medical insurance filings and started a small business to do that. In most companies, such ideas are considered items for the suggestion box so I’ll give her credit for being innovative. ....That’s much different from being the Governor of Texas.

In trying to avoid disparaging remarks she has backed herself into a corner. She now has to show some political skill and get herself out. There are too many here making more out of this than it deserves. She made a gaff. As I recall the occupant of the white house belongs to a party that questioned “what did Bush know and when did he know it” Hillary Clinton held up a newspaper that said “Bush Knew”.In the end all Debra Medina said was there are questions out there in a foolish attempt to appear balanced on a stupid conspiracy theory.

Thanks for the post. Medina’s not a Truther, but facts don’t matter to the Perry trolls.

Doesn't matter.

The libs would tear her to pieces.

She just isn't a good campaigner as she can't keep her thoughts organized.

They couldn't put Humpty Dumpty back together again and it won't work with her either.

...Texas Gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina spoke to an enthusiastic Kingwood Tea Party crowd...
The Tea Partiers seemed to be far more concerned about the possibility of having to elect...

Does anybody else grimace and roll their eyes when they see "tea party" capitalized, as if it's a real "organization" with "leaders", etc.? I swear the rats are hard at work through their newsrooms (and with a lot of help from misdirected political dupes) to turn the tea party protests of 2009 into the kind of marginal, divisive laughingstock that the "Move On" campaign evolved into.
