Models continue to show the southern track of the forecast low from the southern tip of Texas, across the central Gulf of Mexico and into Florida. The upper air data still only captured about half of the actual upper system this morning so it has not been entirely sampled yet but close. There is some what of a northern tick in this model run versus those of yesterday and I think that will be the case to some extent for the next couple of runs but in general I still think the I-20 corridor is the area under the gun with this snow. That will be from near Dallas through Shreveport to Birmingham and into Georgia.

This low latitude jetstream makes for curious weather,
My kids will be happy about that!
Just think, without global warming, they’d have snow in Costa Rica...Thank you Al for the globull warming
Here in Pennsylvania, the entire length of I-83 is closed, as is I-78. Also, I-81 (including 581) is closed from the Maryland border to I-80.
The PA Turnpike has lowered the speed limit and banned all vehicles with trailers, rigs with empty trailers or tandems, and pretty much anyone out driving has more b@ll$ than brains.
Has anyone heard from Al Gore recently? ;^)
Al is in HOuston trying to keep Tipper from eating all of Padre’ Island.
Womans rear is nearly as big as Michelle’s/
Any thoughts on how much of Arkansas will see frozen precip from this event? The bottom 1/4 to 1/3 of the state pretty well missed all the frozen stuff we got this past Sunday and Monday, however, we were on the line and got sleet, freezing rain, and snow from it. Now I’m wondering if I’m gonna catch some of this one as well.
I hope this thing isn’t moving towards PA/MD area...I can’t take anymore.
Amen to that, they just shut down I-81 at the MD PA line. And the wind is not helping!!!
But Dale would have to be a pure genius to figure out what Central Arkansas is going to get since we are on that "line".
Not this one but looks like a few more inches early next week. Nothing big though.
