"For what it's worth.........."
Thanks for posting this. It is one of the nicest things I have ever read. I wish everyone could read this.
I just recently had to put one of my three cats down; she was 19.5 years old...and just "ran out of gas".
At the vets, when told she was indeed dying, I told them I wanted to be in the room when they gave her the injection. My spouse, however, exited the room saying she "couldn't stand to watch"... (kind of lets me know where I'll be and who I'll be with (or without as the case may be) at that ultimate final moment!!).
As the injection went home, I was able to whisper into her ear words she'd heard her entire life with me (us?)...and I think that made things much easier on her.
Thanks for posting this!!
Not my dog. She forgets everything!
I picked up my pomeranian and hugged him after reaading this.
That's my favorite shirt with all the handy pockets she is sitting on, it's almost worn out but I still like it!
Thanks for sharing. Paul Harvy’s words or not, it is a good reminder that they are only with us a short time so do not take them for granted. My Shiba Inu turns 11 years old next month and I am fearing the pain I will have to endure not that many years ahead. In the mean time he knows he’s loved.
For those needing a daily cute puppy fix you got to check out the live Puppy Cam.
The breed is Shiba Inu who have the cutest puppies in the World in my opinion. Ours is now 11 years old.
I’ve seen that before. It was included in with paperwork package that came from my breeder when I bought my GSD.... all good advice.
I confess that I have done a much better job at keeping these Ten Commandments than I have with the ‘other’ one. ;>)
Now about cats.....
I have a GSD and he’s 18 months old. He is just an all out fun guy. He is good around other animals and he even tolerates my 26 chickens. We live in the sticks, near the top of a mountain on 5 acres.
We do not have a cat and I want one. However, I have no idea of what breed to buy.
To me, a cat is a cat is a cat, but I have likely been wrong on that. I need a cat that may adjust and live in harmony with the rest of my critters. I also like animals with a clearly present personality. Heck, chickens are dumb, but even some of my gils have distinct personalities.
So I ask anyone that reads this... any recommendations on a given breed of cat, or should I just head down to the pound and roll the dice?
Hi Daffy, so sweet it was forwarded to many TY gg
I should not have read this - we have a 13yr old Rottie that’s going through liver failure and we’re doing everything to save her life.
Sigh.....
Beautiful post. Thanks.
This has been causing much bawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
on the internets for many moons. Always a great post though :)
