.........I know that ordinary union members don’t want to hurt their fellow Americans, just as ordinary Nebraskans didn’t want to stick it to the rest of the country with a sweetheart deal on Medicaid subsidies. I urge union members to make their voices heard. Please, call your leadership – don’t put up with these special-interest politics – tell them to fight for all Americans who want common sense health care reform, not this flawed boondoggle.

I had a feeling a facebook smackdown was coming. She was tweeting up a storm this morning, so when she starts tweeting, you know a facebook post is coming. Silly question but whats a boondoggle?

Agree with Mrs. Palin... But why does it seem that Sarah Palin is the only Conservative and/or Republican voice speaking up about this today? WHY?!

Maybe I missed it if there were others. Perhaps if Mr. Steele could take time off from his spa treatment and book tour today he may say something? What of all the other so-called leaders.

There is of an independent pioneer spirit alive and well in Alaska.

Sarah feels no inferiority to the best of them.

Excellent.

they got an exemption to provisions in the deal that others did not. Small business owners, our families running America’s mom & pops, did not get this deal. Ask yourself: why did union bosses get special treatment?

thanks to collectivism and government interventionist statism, the country gets group conflict and warfare between pressure groups and special interest groups

Too bad. She really missed an opportunity to scold the Obama Machine on the fact that this plan is unconstitutional. They can’t make a law for some people and not others. Period. Fourteenth Amendment.

Instead she recommends that union membership call their leadership. Yeah, there’s a plan that is sure to work.

I like Sarah as much as everyone else here, but sometimes she just misses the deeper view.

Just think about this: If Sarah were not around to speak up for us, we would be forced to depend on leadership from Mittens, McLame, Newt, and the Huckster.
May God bless and protect this woman. She is an invaluable voice/person/leader that the country desperately needs during these dark days.

This is EXACTLY what she should be doing, and so far “she hasn’t set a foot wrong”.
All these Facebook statements need is to get disseminated and distributed, and quoted here and there.
They won’t go on forever, and the more they get noticed, the more the Left will dump on them and challenge her to defend them in unfriendlier venues than the pages of Facebook and the Internet. By that time, she may well be ready to move onto Phase Two.

Last night on Hannity she pointedly reached out to conservative Democrat voters in the heartland. Today she reaches out to disaffected union members.

Yeah, she's dumb as a box of rocks. /s

I am wondering if Sarah’s Facebook appeal to the union members is timed for the MA Senate election. Possibly having the effect of injuring the union’s effort to elect Coakley.

Since Sarah hasn’t been invited by Brown to help him, this may be the best she can do to help.

Just wondering...call me dense or whatever.

Thanks for this post. I needed it.

I’ve been planning to switch my life insurance to a different carrier so I can cancel my union membership (it’s not required for me to join, but I did when I was young and then have kept it up because I was getting a good deal on life insurance—lame reason, but it is what it is).

This is my motivation to do the insurance paperwork—then tell my union I’m gone, and this latest health care “sell out” (as far as I’m concerned) is the straw that finally broke this camel’s back.

Wonder if the democrats realize that they have now PO’d the 85% if the working population that don’t belong to unions. This is the story of I pay a tax but my neighbor doesn’t because he belongs to a protected group. This ain’t gonna fly with the people.
