You’re showing remarkable illiteracy — and rudeness in not pinging me when you insult me.

Again: I said Robertson shouldn’t have said it. If he wants to say his craziness later at some conference, so be it. I suppose he will compare it to Sodom or whatever, and he is entitled to make that crazy claim. My only point was he shouldn’t make it now. If you think that I’m endorsing his hateful garbage, you’re being willfully stupid for the sake of getting your jollies.

No, I didn’t. You’re a liar. How very Christian, or whatever, of you. STFU.

You were saying ...

So Pat believes our God is a cruel God that punished entire nations. I will have to disagree. Christ died for our sins to be forgiven. Just my opinion.

Too many people think of the Messiah of Israel as still a little baby, like this last Christmas, or perhaps a nice man with good teachings that we should follow. Actually, He's coming back as a warrior and is going to be going to war against His enemies and will be killing millions of people upon His return to this earth.

And God is a righteous God and He deals out punishment to entire nations, as He did during Israel's day and continues to do up to this day. Even Abraham Lincoln knew this (as you can see in my post up above from what Lincoln said in 1863)...

I posted about the Messiah of Israel earlier, and post it here again...

At Christmas -- a lot of people think about a cute little baby Jesus or a very nice man who said nice things to people, was uplifting, and healed a bunch of people...

What people really need to remember is that there's this "big bad Jewish fellow" out there, who's showing up soon, sorta unexpected, and he's "looking for bear" and is gonna open up "the biggest can of whoop-ass" you've ever seen in your life, on a bunch of people here on earth. LOL...

However, many fail to understand -- but they will "understand" when the Messiah of Israel returns to this earth, sets His feet on the soil of this globe, and sets up the ruling authority -- the one-world government -- that He puts into place over all nations, including the United States.

He's the Messiah of Israel, that He is coming back to earth, to set up a one-world government, with His headquarters in Jerusalem, ruling over all the nations of the world, including the United States and will rule over all who are still alive (from who are living right now today) -- and that He will definitely scrap the Constitution of the United States and make Himself the supreme ruler over all that we do.

The "day of reckoning" is coming for all of those who are trying to take over the world and put it totally under their control in an evil one-world empire. And they do admit that they want a one-world government -- their government, not God's...

When the Messiah of Israel comes back to this earth to set up His one-world government and subject all the nations of the world to His authority and rule -- He'll be making real short work of any of those yahoos...

And you can be sure that He will be utterly destroying anything to do with any of these yahoos, since whatever they say and do is a total perversion of anything to do with the Messiah of Israel.

And for sure -- we all, in this world, need the Messiah of Israel back, here on earth -- to destroy this coming one-world government and to install His own one-world government in its place.

I'm looking forward to the coming Kingdom on earth and the one-world government that the Messiah of Israel will be setting up, after He destroys, by His own hand, the present and evil one-world government that we see forming right now.

    Isaiah 9:6-7

For unto us a Child is born.
    Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
    Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and peace
    There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Actually Haiti was dedicated to one of their voodoo gods when formed, (much as our nation is one nation under God) and voodoo is still practiced there by most of the people.. On the other side of the same island is the Dominican Republic which is populated by the same immigrant people, shares the climate and soil with Haiti yet the Republic prospers and Haiti is stuck in strife and poverty.. with most of their people living in hovels and illiterate .

Is there a connection? Well spiritually speaking I would say it looks so. We credit God with the success of our nation and fight to keep His name on coins and in the pledge.. so somewhere in us as a people we do see a connection to the spiritual condition and dedication of a nation with its success and prosperity (BTW I rarely agree with Robertson..)

God has in the past charged specific prophets to warn certain nations to return to God, or to suffer His wrath.

There is a difference between a prophet who obeys God by delivering His message of impending doom, and an ordinary man telling doomed people they deserved what they got.

God has not charged us to judge. We are called to help.

I simply don’t believe that the Haitians are suffering because, per Pat Robertson, they are somehow cursed.

   Psalms Chapter 2

1 Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel
together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,

3 "Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from
   us."

4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in
   derision.

5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His
   deep displeasure:

6 "Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion."

7 "I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, 'You are My Son,
   Today I have begotten You.

8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And
the ends of the earth for Your possession.

9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces
   like a potter's vessel.' "

10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His
wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their
   trust in Him.

There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” - Luke 13:1-5

Do you suppose that these Haitians on whom the earthquake fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwell in the world? I tell you, no; but unless you and Pat repent you will both likewise perish.

Do you suppose that all of the people of Israel whom Jeremiah prophesied destruction of Jerusalem and captivity into the hands of Nebuchanezzar and Babylon were all "hope to die" sinners. I think not. But that did not stay God's judgement. God is still the ultimate judge of sin and "He is the same yesterday, today, yes, and forever"...You lukewarm Christians need to heed God's warning and quit persecuting the prophets. Some messages aren't popular to all you Joel Olsteen, "Christianity Lite" Christians.

We are asked by these "good Christians" to believe that God sent an earthquake to crush Haitian babies as retribution for a "pact with Satan" that other Haitians made 200 years ago. And, these "good Christians" expect us to believe this why? Because Pat Robertson said so!

These creeps disgust me.

Then perish, cursing Olsteen and his ugly face all the way to Hell; see if I care. As for me, I'd rather not call Jesus a liar.

>> I take it you are not a Christian and do not believe in the Bible as being the authoritative Word of God.

I am a devout Christian. I think a Christian should comfort, not condemn, the suffering. It is not for Pat Robertson to declare why this happened ... it is his job to use the opportunity to spread the love of the Almighty.

Obviously you just cherry pick the passages of Scripture that support your unrealistic, utopian view to turn your head from reality. I am 100 percent sure that Pat Robertson's heart is grieving for the Haitian people hit by this disaster and the plight they are facing. He's not rejoicing in it. Jeremiah loved the very people he preached judgement against to the bitter end.
