We need to start keeping an eye on nominations and congressional votes. DeMint was right to try to block this rube.

And by rube I mean Errol Southers

As I said earlier this week, the first time they failed, W rewarded them by making them federal employees and conferring upon them all the largess that that offers.
I suggested that the next step would be to offer them all tenure so that they cannot be fired, like teachers who fail miserably.
Unionizing them would do pretty much the same, but would confer far more benefits upon them.
My sarcasm turns out to have been prophetic, and even understated.
Truly a sad state of affairs.

Building the union voting army....the beat goes on. These people care NOTHING about security and national defense — ONLY THEIR LIBERAL POWER AND CONTROL.

Yeah, that’s what we need, Andy Sterns of the “Sewage Union” getting a grip on OUR security.

Good take. I think Bush just wanted them to have uniform national training but you make a compelling argument.

Since it appears clear now that converting them from private contractor employees to federal employees did not work, why not convert them back to private employees?

We need to go back to Cal Coolidge and ban public employees from unionizing - period. Unions ruin everything they touch now - public, private, quasi-private. The marketplace imbalance extant in 1890’s meatpacking, etc. has long ago vanished.

I have an idea - let’s try to get the terrorists to unionize!

I have an idea - lets try to get the terrorists to unionize! That's a GREAT idea. The first thing their union should attack is hazardous working conditions--like explosive handling.
