You have perhaps not fully learned to effectively read the Bible. Because of the time and distance between us and the culture of the Hebrews of Jesus’ time, a concordance and greek/aramaic/hebrew lexicons are extremely helpful.
While much of the Bible is literal and is meant to be taken literally, there are definitively parts and portions which are absolutely NOT meant in such a manner. Jesus’ parables are but a few examples. No, I do not misuse a precept like this to “fable-ize” or dismiss the Virgin Birth, or the miracles of Jesus, nor the validity of his claim to the throne.
Jesus himself equated himself with the Father when he said “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father”, “I and the Father are One...”
and especially when he said, “I tell you the truth, before Moses was, Ego eimi (I AM)”
The priests tore their clothing, believing they heard the ultimate blasphemy, for Jesus had just called himself by the same ‘I AM’ which the Father did on the mountain when Moses asked “Lord who shall I tell them hath sent me?”
“Tell them that...’I AM’ hath sent thee...”
it could not be any clearer
Moreover, Jesus is not simply an ‘appointed’ King - he is, to put it in human terms (of limited understanding and scope), an ‘hereditary’ King because he is of the same absolute substance as the Father.
Else the Angels of G_d engaged in an act of idolatry in the book of Hebrews when they bowed down and worshipped Christ, giving Him glory and praise- by order of the Most High.

You left out a big chunk of it. You can't cherry pic 1 or 2 sentences from entire versus' just to make your point.
Actually, you can, but you shouldn't. It's misleading.
I've looked at Bibles online and at my own for these versus' and they have different wordings, but the same meaning.
If anyone cares to, please read John 14:6-19 and come to your own conclusion.
It would be great to hear some responses!! I am certainly NO Bible scholar but I do enjoy hearing others speak of their Bible studies. I am always open to learn more about my Bible and Gods teachings. =)
