Sadly, too often people in “high control groups” (cults), do not bother to research the questions posed to them, they just go “well it makes me feel good, so it MUST be true”. Add to that the fear of punishment that comes with questioning authority in those situations.

They have their own bible just as the Mormons have their own and just as the Catholics have their unbiblical 'tradition'...

So quoting scripture means nothing to them...

Two different bowls. Outback is in Tampa. It has to be warmer than here. He has a letterman meeting one day and I am thinking about going to the hotel with him to buy some goodies for the 2 great granddaughters. We thought about staying where the team is staying but he talked me out of it. It seems he wants to get some sleep.

Wikipedia claims that Russell had never claimed to know Greek, but in two different books I read on Jehovah’s Witnesses quoted from the court transcript of a libel trial in Canada where he claimed on the stand that he could read Greek, then recanted when the attorney handed him some Greek text and asked him to read it out loud. He was a con man.
