Save the SEALS: D-Day Tomorrow

Our magnificent Navy SEALS will be arraigned tomorrow for the alleged crime of giving a fat lip to a savage barbarian. The same savage barbarian who massacred Blackwater employees engaged in the mission of delivering catering supplies. The slaughter was not sufficient to impress Allah; Ahmed Abed went for extra credit by burning their bodies and hanging them from a bridge for a special pro- Allah photo op.

Arraignment is a hearing in which defendants enter their pleas. The attorney for one of our SEALS told Fox News this morning that he had received nothing from the prosecuting attorneys that would support the charges against his client.

“Dec. 7: ‘A date which will live in infamy.’

Those words were spoken 68 years ago by the commander in chief after the United States suffered a terrible blow when the Japanese launched a sneak attack against Pearl Harbor. We should certainly remember that date this year, and honor those Americans who lost their lives then, as well as the heroic soldiers who brought victory four years later over both Japan and Germany in World War II.

It is on that date, this Monday, when three U.S. Navy Seals are scheduled to be arraigned in a court-martial, apparently at Norfolk Naval Station in Norfolk, Va., for the alleged crime of punching a terrorist in the face when taking him into custody in September.

If Obama or Biden want to do ONE thing right, they need to step-UP and cancel this charade. As “Commander in Chief”, Obama needs to denounce the trial and cancel it immediately. Invite these Seals to the White House; Give them a hero’s welcome and a couple of beers.

If only that would happen, NoRedTape.

I wouldn’t count on it.

(and it really tees me off.)

“The message is getting clearer to the American military on how to handle people like KSM: Better dead than alive. Less paperwork.”

What actually is clear is that the military is stuck between Geneva on one side and PC on the other.

Most likely results are
(a) go on about your business as before and risk the outcome,
(b) hold back and don't press the fight to the point where either risk is likely, or
(c) step aside and give whatever locals are handy their chance to "take over responsibility"...then blame them when the bad guy gets away.

I'm betting on the last.

PS:
I don't think that the “Dec. 7: ‘A date which will live in infamy.’ contrast can be repeated often enough.

It's a very, very, sad reality.
