It didn’t appear that the author was hiding, although it was interesting that the author chose to post comments about freerepublic on their blog, but not to link to it here.
My PERSONAL OPINION is that it is very bad form to “attack the board” offsite, without informing the board of the attack. VERY BAD form.
So even though I agree with the poster about the anti-mitt fervor, I strongly disapprove of attacking Free Republic “secretly”, rather than posting it here, where it could be considered an attempt to inform and enlighten, instead of just being an attack on the site.
