welcome to the future
Three weeks ago, the Kaiser facility in Stockton Ca had the vaccine. I went to get my regular flu shot and stood in the line that was servicing both kinds. I was offered the H1N1 but refused it as I felt the children, who are more at risk, should get it. I had the shot in the Ford administration. Kaiser did it right. They ran out eventually, but it was not a hassle to get it here.
Two words: "Soylent Green"
So did she “get the shots ?”
(Sounds like her shots were better than the Cavs last night - talk about something that “isn’t pretty”.)
I wish that the CDC would start issuing some warnings on this vaccine; people should be very careful in weighing whether they should take this vaccine if they have any kind of pre-existing neurological conditions. My niece, who has some problems, being born partially blind and partially deaf, has always been weak, and came close to death last spring from pneumonia. Just a day after she received the H1N1 vaccine she started have massive seizures (never had seizures in her life, ever) and that was enough to put her into a coma on life support - the docs are saying that something neurological is interfering with her ability to breath, as well as her weakened lungs have developed pneumonia again. As of today (11/19/09), we are afraid that we might lose her for good this time around - and I’m placing the blame squarely on this H1N1 vaccine. I’m not the only one either; a quick Google search brings up many posts and example of people who’ve had severe seizures associated with the vaccine. Of course, many people have taken it and have been just fine, but it still begs the question: was this thing ever fully tested, or was it just rushed out the door in response to a fake media panic?
FWIW, the elderly ARE at less risk from this H1N1a SOI than the very young are. The clinic was correct to turn her away, per se, but they could have done it with better information, and better bedside manner.
H1N1 vaccine development and distribution seemed to be on track until Obama got in the act......a preview of national healthcare
Indeed, a medical visit under Obamacare will be just like a visit to your local Department of Motor Vehicles, only worse since the lines will be longer, the SEIU clerks less helpful and less friendly, many more visits required, and certainly less knowledgeable personnel, since any doctor worth his or her salt will set up private, cash only, clinics.
On the bright side, more jobs will be created since productivity will plummet as a consequence of poor employee health and many, many long “doctor” visits.
Hey, I can see a new benefit on the horizon: big corporations offering quality medical care on site by doctors they employ, in clinics they pay for. What goes around, comes around.
Seriously, the H1N1 vaccine fiasco and the abrupt reversal of the decades old recommendation for breast cancer screening for women under 50 by the Orwellian-named “U.S. Preventive Services Task Force” are truly powerful omens of things to come for people who pay attention to signs.
H2N2 and H3N3 viruses will soon be released by Obama’s CDC in an attempt to kill off as many of the weak and sick as he begins his Marxist transformation of America into a Communist worker’s paradise.
We have had one H1N1 death but they won't tell us the age. I'm betting it's an elderly person...people who are DENIED the shot.
