They are real. I walked out the other day. The priest said we should support the Health care for illegal immigrants. No one cares if they take away care for Seniors and the people deemed a burden on society.

He never mentioned not to support the bill if it supported abortion. Everyone knows it will be back in when the Senate finishes with the bill.

I'm beginning to see how Hitler was able to take over Germany. We need to protest the Church's stand on social justice. I'm beginning to think we should protest the bishops. We need our voices heard.

There were a few other Churches mentioned. I didn't hear the whole exchange. I think he said the Catholic Church backed down, but I was shocked that they wanted to censure talk radio in the first place.

Anyone hear the whole exchange?

Maybe the way to protest is with our money. I quit giving to the Catholic Church. I still give to Covenant House, but I haven't figured out why they aren't included in the overall causes for Catholic Charities.

They used to give to Acorn. Supposedly, they stopped, but I don't know if they are giving to one of Acorn's susidary.

We need to let them know why we quit giving money to Catholic causes.

Nothing is stopping you from writing to your bishops to complain. That could get better results than anything.

OTOH, I want to see this “statement” before I make any decisions. Off to search..

FR....

On another post today a freeper noted being livid about a prayer for the passage of the bill for the poor and how they were livid. This is not a Catholic phenomena. It is happening in all faiths, The Rabbi on an anti gun rant post Columbine, Christians of all stripes constantly changes churches often over politcal issues. I speak to these friends regularly. Other phenomena, My Jewish friends have a joke that I can't remember about changing Rabbi's or firing them or changing Temples. Christian friends disilusioned by things such as how they are taking care of the building or managing the "business" end not to mention the political. Ironically, other than career changes or moving to another community, Catholics seem the most loyal to their home church or parish so the movement isn't as great. But you touched on a bigger issue...

. The priest said we should support the Health care for illegal immigrants

After healthcare the Dem's I read here are quiely going for amnesty via if I have the title right S-9 in the Senate. This is a one two punch. Make people dependent and then make them a permenant majority as the vote for you. Think critically, as they would say in latin, qui bono.... Who else benifits from this, I'll leave it at that as to not start another firestorm here.....

The Dem's/Socialist are playing Chess and the GOP is playing checkers, and the Dem's are moves ahead.

Soon liberty will be checkmated.
